i think mhsob are the most under rated team in b grade as nobody in this forum has mentioned them as a finals contender or included any of their players in b grade teams of the year. They destroyed uni blacks on the weekend without their gun captain ewan thompson and fielding five first year players. Aitken up forward with five goals was too good for Judd Lalich who must be one of the worst players to ever play AFL and they must now be seen as seriuos flag contenders. its time to start showing them some respect.

They have won 1 game? yes i admit they won well but let's wait a few more rounds before we start putting them right up there with OC huh?

Aitken is no good. Had a drink with him in the early hours of sunday morning and after his big weekend will struggle to get a kick next week. Don't count on him for goals as he is heading overseas in the next few weeks. Hogan is one to watch on the field but off the field he is useless.

they are a bunch of snobs

when i was at cranny high as it was back then they challenged us to a game between two form 3 teams i think to try to toughen them up as we were not very good but were very tough

anyway there coach spent the whole time complaining because most of our form 3 s were 16 17 or 18 due to having flunked once or twice along the journey

we won by about 25 goals and they spent the whole time crying either because they hurt themselves or because of our team then they complained when they lost the fight when there captain called us stupid rurals who was the stupid one eh

anyway it was there own stupid fault for saying form 3 team challenge not under 15s

snobs who think city is better than country we showed there soft arses

MHSOB are the dark horses of B Section, little fanfare about their side over the pre-season but I have reason to believe that they will be up there come september. Genuine promotion chance.

I have heard they will be a pretty good team this year in B grade. A couple of plyers to mention would be Hogan , Thompson, Limbrick and White. Acutally have not seen his name mentioned. Is White playing? Is Jason Bambert playing as well. He has been a gun for them for years. I played against him about 12 years a go and he is still going!

My picks for the finals are OC especially if they get Heritage back as well as all these are people from the AFL and SANFL that they are paying!!!!!

Then Old Brighton. Strong team but they do need Dawes.

Melbourne High will finish 3rd with the players mentioned above.

Then Caulfield Grammar going by their results. They must have picked up a couple of players from last year. Addition of Kellaway is big to.

I'll tell you now that OC are not paying anyone. However when you have a storng club both on and off the field it's not hard to get recruits.

Well Informer its fair to say you dont resemble your name. Collegians are not in any way or form paying any players. They play for the love of the Purple & Gold. The results speak for themselves!

I couldn't agree more P&G. Informer is clearly looking for excuses.

is informer brian speaking under a new name - more accusations of player payments and from a newly registered party. Only thing missing is some big statements re St Kevs or a blast for McKee.

Gentlemen you get very defensive very early. Calm down men. It was a brush aside comment with some exclamations marks as if it were a joke.
It is true that people in the VAFa have talked of it but once again only rumours and no clear facts. There was also rumours that Uni Blacks were making payments over the last couple of years however I'm very confident this is not happening.
What I think happens is that along with attracting quality players as has OC done is that there muist be payments being made. Its a shame it comes to this.
Anyway I will let you all know should I hear of it occurring.

By the way no one answered my question about White and Bamert from MHSOB. Are they playing?

No money at Collegians.

As for the recruits, Arnott got drafted to the AFL from Collegians under 19's and brought his mate from SA, Justin Casserly.

Stone went to Wesley College and all of his best mates play at the club.

Ben Robbins is the best friend of club legend Richard Henebery and wanted to play a season (or four) with his mate and enjoy his footy.

That's how VAFA clubs recruit friends, school connections and networking.

From what I know, even super coach Pat Hawkins is not paid much compared with other less successful coaches.

These are the facts, and I challenge you to prove otherwise.

Should I hear anything Slay Master I will come back straight to you. The other one was Heritage. Whats his story? Not getting a few bob is he????????? Only joking. I heard it was more in house with the committee that drove him way. He is a dissappointment. A fine player that I believe could have made it to some quality competetion but has always been disgruntled. Maybe he needs to have a look at himself??
Also I forgot to mention the T W A T that said in another forum that Heritage deserved to do his knee and that what goes around comes around. This Karma business will happen to him by saying that. No one deserves an injury like that. Sure enough it is dissappointing he left his club and in my opinion shouldnt have but in the end you make you own decisions. It would have been interesting to see OEG attack him. Hopefully they made him feel it.

By the way how is the big man Hakim playing this year? Has he shed the 20 lgs he has needed to shed for the last 10 years?
