Post your favourite b-sides in this thread! As we all know, some bands' best work can come from non-album songs / deluxe bonus tracks / b-sides. Doesn't matter how well known or unheard of.

For reference it'd be cool if you could post the release that the song is from (and its year). Here are a couple to start off....

"Ladies of Cambridge" is one of Vampire Weekend's best songs and one of the first they wrote too, I believe. Originally known as "Boston" it was included as the b-side to their 2007 debut single "Mansard Roof"




The Strokes' "Hawaii" is Julian Casablancas' ode to his favourite place in the whole world, the 50th state of the USA. Released as a b-side to the "Juicebox" single in 2005

Talk Show Host is the second greatest b-side ever. The Passenger's the best – was originally chucked to the flipside and then became a single on its own a few years later. Total tune

Bloc Party were the kings of bad single choices and dumb b-side relegations

This is like some kind of mission statement for Bloc Party... they recorded it for a compilation and the rules stipulated it had to be recorded, mixed, and mastered in a day. All things considered, those limitations helped it. Incredible. Bloc Party ruined a bunch of songs they had ready for A Weekend in the City so maybe it's good they never helped it that bit more

Yeah I was gonna post How Soon Is Now but considering it's on the Australian version of Meat Is Murder, its inclusion to this thread is ambiguous

Stop the World is better than any other bands normal singles, just so good. Was going to put Leave Before the Lights Come On in there but not sure if really qualifies. It's one of their best.

Yeah I also didn't include Leave Before the Lights Come On because it was released as a single, would be right up there though.
