and they give me holiday homework for all my subjects. VERY kfdsjkaj crap

lucky this will be my last year, horray, but **** i gotta go through hell this year. stupid yr12.

p.s - my school has a 1930's building for the senior campus (yr11-12) and has no grass, well a backyard of it, a totally broken basketball ring > just 1 btw. A Optus Phone tower in it, barb wire, concreate with rocks the size of marbels, and water that i donno i should drink nemore. so all we do at school is talk every day, and chuck food around. well not me, but others :)

oh and instead of have 2 days where you finish early.. this yr they took it away from us and now we only have one day where we will finish at 1pm. The other spare is now a fricken another lesson.

oh yea ****n id like the teachers to get out the dictonary and find the word "HOLIDAY" and read out the meaning.

HOLILDAY MEANS HOLIDAY NOT MATTER WHAT YEAR U ARE IN, WHERE U WORK, WHAT U DO...

all bs i tell u... grrr i got my italian, enlish and i.t to do
i did maths and physics :)
re = none

fricken english, read 3 books, ive got 25 pgs to go on my last book. i must say my school picks the gayest books.

What a life to lead. Education is almost vital - to some extent - to get ahead in life, and lounging around all year won't get you too far.

I dislike school as much as the next person, but going into year 12, I know I have to take things seriously. You'll realise one day.

Yes I know I have heard it all before and understand that Education is vital- and I dont plan on giving it up but..

What I do not understand is why I have to sit through Geography 4 times over (year 7 till year 10) learning the same things (basically) each year- when I myself Hate geography, and find no joy in it whatsoever.. it is all boring, map reading is not my thing, I do not care if the equator is lateral or whatever its called, I dont even know.

I would much prefer to have more of English, and if I had the same maths teacher from year 8, I would prefer to sit through maths more as well rather than learn geography.

Tell me the logic in learning something you hate for 4 years?

I just sat through year 8, and I have got to tell you, I dont think I learnt a thing in geography, I hated the teacher and I hate the subject, I found it so boring..

I am perfectly happy to go through school, but really I dont see the bloody point of being made to learn a subject you hate 4 times over..

And I didnt see the point of 'library' in grade 6 either, my teacher could hardly read her self, she read us picture story books, now thats fine if your in prep- but grade 6 listening to the same stories as preps is a bit ridiculous if you ask me.

I have my doubts whether thats a good education system.. they should at least get teachers who can read properly, and dont have a hissy fit if you ask why you are listening to a picture story book in grade 6 that the preps also listen to.. you dont learn a thing in grade 6 reading such books, it isnt education at all.

And I dont lounge around.. I always try, but its hard to try when you are listening to a picture story book or when you are listening to some old guy whose voice is quiet then gets loud and goes quiet again and who stares at you when you arent paying attention talk about something you find extremely boring.. but I will keep trying..

The education system is full of problems.

I understand your feelings towards Geography. I personally liked Geography and did it up until this year where I gave it the flick, but History was the subject that I couldn't stand and would bore me to tears.

But, one you reach year's 10 and further, the freedom comes and you do get to choose subjects you are interested in.

As for the system, I agree in a sense that it is messed up in certain facets, but it will never please everyone, and unfortunately, we all have to use that system to get somewhere.

Finally, the term "lounge around" was just a figure of speech expressing what kids would do if there was no education system.

Yeah, everyone has a subject they hate and that bores them to tears.. just I never knew being close to falling asleep at school could be so easy.

Its extremely messed up; when theres a school with a library teacher who can hardly read herself- the system is extremely messed up..

Yeah, most of our teachers don't seem to realise the meaning of the word. What's the damn point of holidays if you have to work? I mean, the standard set for Year 12 is a full day of work - 8 hours - per subject, over the two week holidays, and it's supposed to be a little less for Year 11, although I never got too much holiday homework last year. Our Chemistry teacher was the only one who told us he wouldn't be giving out work, because he said that holidays are for holidaying, but he did ask us to read the first two chapters from the textbook, and also some questions from the last couple of topics we covered, but that was mostly **** easy, it was a replica of the last test.

For those in Year 12 this year - what texts are you doing for English? We're mainly doing One True Thing and Divine Wind. I've read them both once, and have about a chapter to go in OTT the second time around. Divine Wind won't take me long to read, it's a small book. I've still got that bloody Maths test to do, if it gets cooler tomorrow I might be in the mood to do it. And I better revise my other homework.

Three days left.*sighs* :(
