We’ll have two first round picks, if we lose Bailey. Get those in the door, before matching a bid on Murray.

It has been slim pickings for you the last few years Briz. With all the rorts.

He’s all over wanting Sam Marshall out so that’ll generate a few more picks plus whatever chump change the AFL throws our way for Bailey leaving.

Boggles the mind on the main board that people seem more excited about winning trades, getting draft picks over winning premierships. Saints and Crows fans salivate at the thought of us losing players and being impacted by change of Academy rules as if we’re losing sleep yet we’ve won 5 flags in 25 years compared to their zero flags in that time.

Priorities of people astound me.
One of my main long range priorities is to be above ground when we play our first game at Chris Fagan Arena in 2033.

In the meantime a few more Premierships would go down well.

Clearly we need to go back to setting up our academy signup booth outside junior basketball games again. Let's get back to developing beanpoles!

Lions U18 academy beat Suns U18 academy 116-41 today in Round 2 of the Vic Talent League.

Not sure who played as yet. Will keep an eye out for when the stats are released.
If we get another ashcroft clone this is going to be the final year of academies, lol.

I used to keep up to date via the Lions Academy FB page, but that's been paused, and I can not find the Lions Academy utube page, and I have no idea where else to get information from.

Cheers. Where is that from?

Lillico is a U19 who missed most of last year due to injury. H Bridge is also a U19.

Owen, Murray, Watts, Hodge, Cameron and Paterson are U18's. I'm not sure if Prindable is U18 or U17. I've heard Duke's name, but can't remember age group.

Boothey and J Bridge ar U17's. Hutchings and Salvana are U16's.

Does anyone know what year Xavier Salvana is draft eligible? Had 11 disposals for the Lions Academy’s U18 clash today but noticed he is listed as just 15 years of age. Already 181cm as well.

Prindable is 2026 draft, but like Duke he is a late birthday. He can find the footy and is a beautiful ball user, but isn't quite at the level of his elder brother - but both players were ignored by academy for years for reasons that still remain a mystery.

Boothey, J.Bridge, Kinnear (Ben Kinnear from Collingwood's son), Holden, Deighton & Bickerton are all 2027 draft.

Salvana and Hutchins are 2028 draft.

Thompson is a 19 year old coming off 2 years out with ACL, a basketball convert who has alot of tricks and is very mercurial. I thought he was excellent on Sunday and is a very unique prospect with a different skill set to most. Great lateral movement, can take one handers in packs, move through traffic with ease and is a lanky left footer who looks to have grown to around 6'4 and might have more growth in him. Definition of X factor.

Sounds like Jared Brennan?
