Backline wasn't the issue.

It was the following:

JAMAR%20Mark%20246.jpg
MOLONEY%20Brent%20246.jpg
JONES%20Nathan%20246.jpg
SYLVIA%20Colin%20246.jpg
JETTA%20Neville%20246.jpg
Trengove%20Jack%20246.jpg

And their inability to win a stoppage/clearance in that third quarter.

Spot on.
I said the same thing to my mate at the ground. Our center setups were woeful. I think Jamar is the only ruckman I know who dominates tap-outs and still gets slaughtered at the clearances.

Take Jamar out of there and it's more correct. Beamer and Sylvia try hard but have no-one to give to once they win the hard ball.

I'd give my left nut for Scully and McKenzie to play next week (and for the rest of the season).

Scott West was one of the best ball winners and clearance players in the league. Mark Jamar is one of the best tap ruckmen in the league. Surely they can figure out a half decent plan to win some stoppages.

Agree the backline wasn't the major issue. The number of points Hawthorn kicked is a response to the fact the backs are pressuring hard to force their men wide.

Badly needed:

[Insert photo of Jordie McKenzie here] +/- photo of T Scully

Lack of forward pressure is also a massive issue. Petterd isn't fully fit and Watts, Jurrah and even Green don't pressure enough. The times we won a clearance it came out too easily.

Definitely agree with you, in that third quarter they got clearance after clearance i can not believe that we didnt play harder on them in the middle as they were just dominating. Also i thought grimes in the backline was just terrible today and probably his worst game he has played to date. Also our hardness over the ball minus syl and moloney leaves a hell of a lot to be desired

I just bought these "glow in the dark" keyboard stickers which I spent 20 minutes putting on my wireless, unilluminated keyboard.

They are dead-set awful. I reckon It's now harder to see the keyboard.

Do anyone think that Jamar should punch the ball occasionally? You know, like those 30 meters punches Jeff White used to do occasionally to break things up. He always looks for Beamer and they were cherry picking his little taps.

Yes, thought similarly.

I agree, the backline wasn't the major issue. However, the inclusion of a 70% fit Frawley, and with Macdonald omitted, certainly didn't help their causes.

What about the collar on your jumpers? That would get very itchy and distracting during a match!

Or perhaps the incredibly complex logo that the players are still trying to work out.

Someone has a lot of time on their hands down at MFC HQ. Back to basics boys!

Bit upset that we sent you back to Sydney with only 2 points?

That stuff has nothing to do with the football department whatsoever. Stop trolling pal :thumbsd:
