Im not sure what it's called but I have green aloe Vera gel, put it in the fridge and when it's chilled and applied to the burns it's heaven

Went fishing today and had the old shirt off..after a whole day in the sun im absolutely roasted...any home remedies to help me sleep 2nite cause im burning up like a mofo?

Use an Aloe Vera GEL not cream.

Use an Aloe Vera SPRAY not gel or cream. :D

Just my opinion, it comes out like a nice mist and is really soothing.

Another tip, pop it in the fridge before you use it. Nice and cool that way. :thumbsu:

But yeah warrior, I've been there before. When i was young and stupid was up north at some lake. Did not apply sunscreen ONCE the whole day. My back was bright red. Learnt my lesson tho that day, have had very little to no sunburn ever again since that.

Aloe Vera will do good as said by everyone.

Trust me though, you don't know bad sunburn until you've been burnt while on antibiotics. I got burnt after having my shirt off for 30-45 mins. Next 3 days I would have 30 min periods throughout the day where my back would itch like crazy. I'm still scared to go shirtless without a heap of sunscreen on, even though I've been off the antibiotics for 2 years. :(

Why not go straight to the source! Aloe vera plant, break off the stem, and there's the aloe liquid inside. Nothing better!

that's what I do. :thumbsu:

ok, coming from a knucklehead that never used to use sunscreen as a teenager and got badly burnt more times than i care to remember i have a few remedies.
  • vitamin e cream is okay
  • aloe vera CREAM is good, the GEL feels good but dries off too quick and doesn't penetrate (no homo)
  • drink shitloads of water - absolutely the best way to calm the skin down and reduce the burning and peeling. i swear by this, you visit the pisser every 10 minutes but the sunburn is generally gone by day 4 and it massively reduces your chance of peeling. prevents dehydrating as well and headaches
