We need him up and running all year

The Geelong board seems to think he may have got a bit of a tap to the nether region. Without any vision would think it a bit rough to rub him out, especially after last weekends similar incident between McVeigh and Coniglio which was thrown out. Apparently alot of the Geelong players will testify against him (not quite sure why:o)

I swear i saw vision of Chappy spewing after a goal about 10 mins before the end of the quarter.

I dont think he was very well the whole game.

Well given the four or five references to the incident in the Sunday Slimes this morning, it's likely that Balla will be sidelined for some weeks...Seriously "Braden" who the **** calls their kid Braden? How about you mention the epic win you floggo.

Has anyone ever vomited as a result of being hit in the nurries? I've been hit by a cricket ball a couple of times, which knocked me down (even with a box), but I've never felt like being sick as a result of it.

I was thinking the same thing. I still reckon the punch in the nurries thing is still in the rumour category rather than being fact. A good punch in the guts is more likely to have you chucking up than in the groin.

If vision isn't found/released in the next 12 hours or so I'd say that he's got away with whatever he did, if he did anything of course.

I was waiting to see if anybody else mentioned this. I saw that too but couldn't remember the timeline. It is in the replay as well.

It is all conjecture & hearsay, perpetuated mainly by bitter Cats fans (& equally bitter Egirls fans) who are trying to find a way to justify why the mentally weak Scarlo got sucked in by Ballas.
If there was conclusive vision of Ballas sack tapping Chappy, we would have seen a thousand replays by now.

Most (all? ) grounds have set cameras that take in the whole field that don't go through the televising feed. These are gone through a day or so later and this has caught a few guys before. That's why I said we'll know for sure in the next 12 hours or so.

Foxtel would have played the footage of it by now, we'll see by halftime in the Eagles/Bulldogs game whether or not they have anything at all.

I saw Selwood put a jab into Suban in the second quarter, but it was a love tap after they mouthed off at each other for a while and Nic gave him a tap (literally an open handed tap to his hip), Joel then gave him a sneaky one in the guts but Suban just laughed at him and jogged off.

If that hit had been differently targeted he might have left Suban needing a vomit, but there wasn't anything in it. Chasing Ballantyne would make me throw up, are they sure he isn't just feeling the workload early in the season and that's why he cleaned the grass a bit?

If any of our players is in trouble, it's Pearce for the late bump on Johnson.

Selwood got 4 weeks last year for a soft push away behind play the footage was worse than under9s game from the 80s. Fair to say that Hayden will get games Chapman is one of the toughest players in the game and for him to react like that must have been a fair whack.

I thought the ump saw it and said as much. It was the first quarter wasn't it, can't seem to find it on the replay, can someone give me a approx time?

Edit: Umpire: "I have made a notice of Hayden" (to SJ)

True, all grounds do have those cameras, but most, if not all are fixed, non zooming cameras that more often than not show grainy footage from a hundred or more meters away.
There may have been (probably was) some contact between Ballas & Chappy. My point though is that the "he punched him in the nuts" story is an agenda being pushed by fans of other clubs who have the sh!7s on.

It's fair to say it, yes, but if there isn't any evidence of it, it's fair for nothing to come of it too.

I have a feeling chappy was having a spew, and ballas gave him a bump while spewing. Might have biased glasses on haha.

Apparently some footage of before and after was shown on the footy show today (not of the incident itself). Anyone know if it was any different to the telecast footage we saw last night?

Considering that Geelong have 3 guys on report for striking, I think they wouldn´t want to piss us off by dobbing in Balla/getting their guys to tattle on him.

That's not a report though. If the ump had seen anything he'd have put Ballantyne on report, not just talked to SJ.

Umpires have stated they did not see anything.

Looked to me that Chapman just isn't up to full fitness yet and was chucking up due to that.

There was no vomiting just one big gob of saliva. No other players in any footage. No case.
