Apparently he didn't fly out with the rest of the team.
What that means - I don't know.

Lyon has been quoted as saying the Luke will take his place in the team on Thursday night

Asked at the airport before travelling if there were any concerns with Ball, coach Ross Lyon appeared to indicate that Ball would take his place in the Saints' line-up.

There is a post on Saintsational which said the club rang SEN just before 7pm to announce he will play.

I HOPE he plays,
I really, really do.
All week, i have been confident that he will get up for the game but i heard on Channel Nine news at about 9:50pm tonight that he will not play.
It was a short, sharp message from a reporter and he said:
"Ball is OUT for tomorrow nights clash against Brisbane."

That was all he said.

It makes me feel as though Channel Nine had not looked into the situation very closely because he did not support the announcement with any facts or statements made by any official players, coaches or whatever.
So...?
 
It is VERRRY suspicious that he wasn't able to travel up with the rest of the team. He may have had a prior engagement (Family / whatever) - I hope this is the reason - but I'm not altogether confident.

This may demonstrate how reliable Lyon is with repect to press releases / team info / etc.

If he plays - I will know that he can be trusted.

If Luke does not play - then it would seem to be a deliberate misinformation.

Yep.
I agree.
Seeing as though we do not know much about Ross Lyon it is hard to know what to take out of his reaction to certain questions.
All signs are pointing to him playing though, except that Channel Nine news said so confidently that he will miss the match.
ARGH.
I do not know what to think...

You know, right, that if it's a "deliberate misinformation" then it's aimed at Matthews, not at you?
 
SEN Reported ball wasnt on the 12 ocklock plane he was supposed to be on...

will not play....

I understand that Matthews would be the target - but we are all the victims.

I am less than impressed :mad:

The fans deserve more respect.
