We have seen one happen this week, but they are not the only ones that have done, I think every team has been guilty of it.
It reminds me of a TV ad from years ago.
I could find a superbowl version of it but I can't find the AFL version. Can anybody remember it, I think it may have been Adelaide. I believe there was also a rugby team version of it, don't know which team.

Think you're thinking of the Cows and Boncos. What was the banner mistake this week?

I was just thinking, the St Kilda game was in Adelaide. Who made that banner, Victorians or South Australians. If some South Australians made the banner then that explains everything.

One I always remember has a sad basis...

The week Jack Hamilton was killed in a car crash, one of the Collingwood players had a milestone game...I think it may have been Tony Shaw's 250th.

In big letters on the Pie's banner that week...

Tony Shaw
A Great Achievement

Jack Hamilton
A Sad Bereavement

So so wrong....

Lets be honest here... the people involved in making banners wouldn't be involved in designing the next space shuttle. In fact they'd probably have trouble counting to 10.

They certainly wouldn't be able to do it backwards.

I would think the majority of the Saints cheersquad would be Victorians but nice joke attempt. :thumbsu:

Often the banners are done in the clubs home state and flown over. I think Adelaide's banners are always done in Adelaide and are flown interstate where the local cheer squad would then put it on the poles.

Not surprised given the majority of people in a cheer squad are bogans.

Just don't call them mongs. If you call them mongs you get a personal message from Chief himself. So I definitely wouldn't describe them as mongs.

"Your Goodes is good, but our Betts is better," was just plain incorrect.

Ease up. They probably aksed a consulting team and that was the betts idea of a poor lot that came back to them.

Ports are done in Melbourne for games in Melbourne
