Very unhappy about the Collingwood "supporters", who were holding up banners at the footy about Tarrant. Interestingly, mainly females held up signs like;

"Collingwood won't be the same without you, Taz"
"Collingwood - Taz = Worse team"
"We miss ya Taz"

Get a ****ing spine. For christ sake, the bloke did nearly nothing in his final year, we picked up a quality, but inconsistent act, in Medhurst plus a young kid called Ben Reid.

I'm not gonna call Tarrant a hack, because he isn't, but the trade Freo made for him follows their trend of absolutely wonderful trades that work well for the opposition.

Sure won't be the same, that is unreliable and very brittle. Who misses him? Not me. I was always a Tarrant fan as he worked hard but now I have seen the team without him it is heaps better, it is actually a team forward line, not individuals running around waiting for the footy to be delivered and then missing goals. Not neccesarily Tarrants fault, but seems to be much more flexible and resilient withiout him. In fact the whole team looks better without him.

A bit unfair I think. Even when he wasn't kicking goals, Tarrant worked very hard getting the ball down - and again showed on Friday just how effective he is at this. If he'd kicked straight, we'd have been in real trouble - we just had nobody who could go with him. Mind you, Friday was a stark reminder of how vulnerable we were with two forwards very iffy in the kicking for goal department. You could argue that Cloke fits into this category but at least there's a chance he might get better. At his age, Tarrant was never going to improve in this department.

I've yet to see how we are a worse team then we were last year, we're in pretty much the same position we were last season though we were 8-2 last season at this time.

I'd say nothing has changed since Taz has left, we're having more shots on goal, that'd be the only change.

Sorry, don't take this the wrong way, I'am a massive Tarrant fan and defended him somewhere on here before the game, this is purely in relation to how we look as a team, not about his performance as a player, he and Buckley single handedly busted their balls for years as the 2 highest runners at the club, it took going to Arizona to teach Magpies how to run, when they had Tarrant and Buckley as the perfect examples. In 03 tararnt was running up to 16 ks a game as a forward! I argued with my old man for years about Tarrants work rate and now I have to defend Rocca to him. Mind you my dad was used to seeing Bob Rose and Lou Richards running around winning GFs and went to games when Jock Mchale was still coaching, so he is a bit spoilt the old bustard. When I say they were brittle, if Tarrant was shut down we crumbled up forward and only really got back on track last year to a certain extent. As I said not entirely Tarrants fault.:)
