on this occassion unfortunately not.

if Cam did finsih this year i think we would do well to recruit a seasoned forward. we still have a 2-3 year premiership window so ''if' cam did finish after this year who would replace him... i wouldn't want to see lonargen / hawkins forward line, wouldn't want to see a young guy taking that responsibility. we need a strong forward as a replacement and Barry Hall is one option. as others have said i don't think we should rule him out catogorically...

Sure, we might want to go for a mature forward, but no way should Hall even be a considered option. He is a loose cannon and is well past his footballing peak. Either way, I think Barry has had enough of footy and will pursue a boxing career at the end of the year.

Gee, I would've loved the big Bazza from 2004-2006. He was sensational. As for now, I'm doubtful anyone would take him. He's simply too much trouble these days. I don't think his heart is totally in it anymore & I can't see him playing on in 2010.

Probably doesn't get the on-field kudos he deserves for his career though. Really good player.

Why do you think Mooney will retire? Hall should retire before him, he's finished.

I'm hopeful Moons will get his act together and will want to continue on next season.

If we win the flag that might be enough for Cam to leave on a great note.
If we dont ...shudder...then maybe Cam might have had enough - three dominant H&A seasons for just the one flag.
Either way he is a dual premiership player already.
He has publicly stated that he will relocate and join his family in Queensland eventually and I'm tipping GC would love to have him looking after their youngsters on the field.
I wouldn't begrudge him a big paycheck in his playing twilight and the Cats are going to have to give up someone. Hmmmm.

I just hope he is a triple premiership winner by then.

I think Hall is one of the most under utilized forwards in the competition currently. I've had the misfortune of watching a number of Sydney games this year (both live and on T.V) and the amount of times he presents on a lead (burning off his opponent) and swans midfield don't kick it to him is amazing. I can understand completely why he gets frustrated. Yes he has too many brain fades but I think a classy midfield like ours delivering opportunities would lift Hall to another level.
He is a good mark, good kick and a great presence.
At the very minimum he would be an interesting 1 year prospect.

Thats not a dream line up cos Lucas and Lloyd are in it. Why would Geelong want an overrated hack who can hardly run anymore and a pounce who always dives for free kicks and is the most hated player in the comp. No thanks.
