Everyone just remember that Cougar got hurt in the Hahn incident and was hobbled during the 4th quarter which helped Barry get away a bit. Not saying that Barry didn't do well, just it was up against a not 100% Cougar.

It least he has something to his name, unlike some of us that live in big houses and drive fancy cars, but because it is all on credit we are in the red and really don't have a cent to our names.

The key to stopping Hall is to cut off his supply through pressure in the midfield. We did that well in the 2nd and 3rd quarters and he didn't get a sniff. In the first and last quarters our pressure dropped off and the Dogs midfielders got too many easy deliveries to him one on one.

Having said that, Zac needs to be better and more desperate one on one and we need better support for him getting a third man up. We badly missed Fisher who is great at that role and probably could have done a better job one on one with Hall.

Hall's been impressive so far for the Dogs and has made a huge difference to their forward line but the question is can he keep up that sort of performance at his age? I also think we'll be much better prepared for him the next time we play the Dogs.

If that's how Barry behaves in a winning match, boy I'd love to see him when they are losing. He'll be suspended before round 10.

I don't think I'd be out of place on this board in hoping that it turns out to be a spectacular failure and I'm sure I'm not alone on that.

At this stage, the signs aren't good though.

I think the key is how he copes when things don't go his way. The Bulldogs have been very impressive so far and at this stage everything is rosy.

Opposition defenders are going to get in face and niggle him all season. When they aren't winning and the delivery suffers will he be able to control himself? He couldn't do it at Sydney after a magnificent career where he'd been a leader and was hugely respected by his teammates.

What was the story with him leaving the Saints for the Swans? I was talking with a friend of mine last night about it and we couldn't come to a conclusion. Was it money? I know he had some indiscretions towards the end of his days with the Saints was that the reason?

Dawson WAS trying to stir him up, right at the start. Hall turned to face him and the cougar became a pussycat.

Its a given that barry will get suspended this year. The buldogs unlike the saints of last year. Showed the whole world whats in their bag. Their game plan is now A) to kick it to bazza, if that failures B) midfielders kick goals, like last year. Problem with that is Bazza will get triple teamed with 3rd man up, like the 2nd and 3rd last night, and the dogs then have wasted an inside 50. So the dogs will have to work twice as hard to get more inside 50's.

Added with the fact the doggie supporters seem to have forgot how many times bazza has been suspended and what for and most importantly how. How bazza would get suspended is that he gives it out when things are going well, but when things arent he couldn't take it back and SNAP goes the bulldogs chances.

So every club is starting up plan lets stir up bazza.

My money is round 3 against the hawks, bazza will get 4 to 6 weeks.
