At this stage i don't think Barry Hall would want a life membership at the Swans.

It will be interesting to see if he turns up at the Swans 2005 premiership reunion when we eventually have one because at this stage i don't think he will.

Barry hall is a club champion and i dont care if he takes a dump in the club rooms he was one of the main reasons we won a flag. Dont
Care if he likes the dogs more or what he says

Not sure what you are talking about Bedders, but their were 22 players playing in Swans guernseys in that grand final, why is Barry Hall the only one responsible for our loss. Sure, he never kicked a goal, but he was the best option we had at the time in his position. There wouldnt have been a player on the ground trying harder than Hall. Everyone is liable to a bad game, and no one wants it to be in the grand final. There would have been many games during the year where he carried other players or even the team, so to blame his poor performance for our loss is unfair. From what I remember he was double manned, which left Micky 'O' and Nick Davis who both kicked 3, so despite not kicking goals himself, his presence allowed them the freedom to get on the board.

This is all old news, and doesnt need any further analysis but not worth holding grudges. Hall played in the Red and White, was a champion for our club and will always be held in high esteem by me, and many others.
 
I think you'll find that Baz himself thinks & knows he cost us the flag in 06!

He won't forget it.

He changed after this..............wasn't the same team player as in 04/05!

I believe both Jolly & Hall cost us but I've never had a problem with them because of their efforts in the game. It's no big deal after the fact.

But my problem with them is the way things have evolved since.

One wanting to come home so desperately....................but ONLY to Collingwood!
The other wanting to be remembered as a Dog. (Sounds bad that doesn't it?) whilst having a crack at our system....the very one that made him a p'ship captain. The system in place won us a flag as a team. Baz couldn't have done it without the system in place.

I'm over them now but I do still enjoy having a little pot shot at them on here every now & then. That's what this forum is about isn't it?

I'd recruit him for one game against GWS. Have him break a few jaws and take out McDonald. Then I'd say we're square.

Maybe a few dollars more for Sheedy in the car park ......?

How can a grand final win by the Swans in '05 and a loss in the grand final in '06 by a point, cause the '05 win to be considered a fluke? We werre up there for 2 years and won one, lost one by a point, couldnt be considered a fluke in any way.
