Thought Jimmy was a little quiet in the first half, and further the cats were struggling to get over the half forward line at the end of the second quarter.

Jimmy played most of the second half across half forward, and was brilliant. He played the role of James Kelly in the last two finals campaigns, with a strong body. In addition he is so strong overhead he provides an option with the other players confident he would at worst break even.

Thought this move was match defining, and sets the cats up beautifully for next week. The coach has been criticised in the past for lack of match day moves, so would like to give credit to Bomber for the change.

Go Cats!

One thing we've done this year, mostly through necessity, is play most of our players in different positions, and given them different roles. I think Scarlett, Taylor and Blake are the only ones who have had the same role week in, week out.

We've had Bartel and Corey play forward and back, as well as in the middle, Kelly's played back, Hawkins and Mooney in the ruck, Milburn up forward, Ablett up forward, Varcoe, Stokes and Chapman in the middle, Mackie's played as a KP defender, etc, etc.

We were mainly criticised for two things last season - playing injured players, and not having a plan B or plan C. I think it's safe to say we've rectified both those areas this year. :thumbsu:

Bartel is like a substitute teacher and just fills in wherever needed. He has played forward, back, and in the midfield. He did disappoint me with a few dropped marks last night but still played a decent game.
