Or niether.

The weather has been too cold. Living in Ballarat in winter you get 7 degree days and that is very very cold to bath your dog in that cold weather.

Suzi, show this picture (of my puppy) to your dog and it will realise how impoverished it actually is and want to take a bath - it will figure that it's chances of being stolen (escaping) are better if it has both an appealing appearance and odour.

3 months? gross! Very unhygenic!

I would put your dog in a large bucket or sink with warmish water and get the dog to sit. Rub some special pet shampoo on his/her coat and massage it in. Then get some clean water and rinse the shampoo off. Then get a hair dryer and make sure the dog isn't cold.

Mantis, the best thing possible for Chihuahuas is to flush them down the toilet. Any dog bred by the Spanish as an alternative to chicken drumsticks ought to be put out of it's misery.

My Jack Russell loves bath time. He has a thing about bottle tops off of stubbies. I flick a couple in the bath and whilst he is trying to retrieve them he gets bathed. It is quite a amusing to watch him trying to put his paw on the bottle top as obviously dogs aren't able to figure out that water distortion thing. His aim is always about 2 inches off. He finally gves up and shoves his head under the water which saves me from trying to rinse it!!

Very true Lady Lawrence.

I think that my dog must have had a bath every day when he was younger because he hates anything to do with water.

At least I managed to bath him on Saturday. So he smells clean now.
