he is nominating for the draft.. and if he doesnt get picked up "apparently" (according to BF and i hope its true) we have spoken to him about placing him on our rookie list..... a prolific ball winning midfielder thats kicks goals... not too sure if hes more inside than outside but is a nice kick and played a blinder in the tac gf a few years back....

any thoughts? im pretty biased coz of my greek heritage and would love to have a quality player with greek background in the black and white...(zaharakis anyone)..

also a silly fact... the last time we won a gf we had a player whose parents were both born in greece..(even though he wasnt considered a greek the fact remains-not denying or saying he wasnt slav-macedonian either for anyone that wants to get political)

The only reason he got rookied by Port was because of how well he played in TAC grand final. He can get the ball, was a good player for Box Hill but I doubt he'd ever be AFL standard.
Probably not worth the rookie spot. He loves the black and white though so good luck to him if we're thinking about it.

I was all for this guy last year and wanted the pies to take him in the PSD, to me he has failed to live up to expectations once again.

I still don't quite understand why he's not a better player than he apparently is. He can find the ball, without question, and his skills, from what I've seen, are above average.

There's got to be something that seriously turns off AFL clubs - He was left until the rookie draft the year he was drafted, and then Port Adelaide delisted after one year despite what was apparently decent SANFL form. Then he went to Box Hill and apparently has played well there, yet Hawthorn aren't interested in him...

I'd just be really curious as to why clubs aren't interested when it would seem that he has good attributes for AFL footy.

The only time i have seen him play was in the TAC cup grand final when he had something like 33 possessions 3 goals. I would be happy if we got him on our rookie list.

Batsanis is the nephew of Daicos.. talk last year was that he was unhappy to be picked up by an interstate club and than performed poorly for 12 months with Port Adleaide I think.. he was hoping he would return to and be picked up by a Vic club last year which happened . I am sure his heart was set on the pies but by the looks of it the pies heart was not set on him.

i hope so too... maybe his uncle daics has been giving him a few pointers to help him succeed at the highest level... he would be a more logical choice than some of the other players we have had onour list... loves black and white and has great skills....

there might be some other issue as to why he isnt selected though...

maybe (and its a big maybe) if he can find his feet and his spot at a club he might be able to be a good player as recycled players like rodan etc have become altho nathan hasnt had any experience at the top level yet

i agree as long as theyre good.. dont want another athos...
as for zaharakis i would really love to pick him up sounds like someone we could really use according to all reports about him...

Hate to spoil the party, but Batsanis leg speed just not good enough for his size. Was hoping he could make it but sadly that just wont happen. Would love to be proved wrong though !
