Bay 114(5) - Post Showdown

Wow.

I LOL at everyone who couldnt make it to the game tonight. I had friends that turned down tickets and the person that did get it (a bay 114 semi-regular) enjoyed themself immensely.

Tonight's game > 3 hours in a seedy motel room with Jessica Alba.

The roar of the crowd was the greatest i had ever heard it. It almost beats the Roar heard at the Telstra dome when Melbourne scored in the semi final to put them through to the grand final.

Hats off to our boys (and girls) and the crowd in general.

Even though it was a cruddy game with Flooding, poor goal kicking and the likes it deserved more than 45,000.

Oh, and i forgot to mention i was apporached after the game by an older crows supporter - Id say mid fifties (apologies if im wrong) - and she asked a few questions like why we had moved for the game along with some standard stuff.

She is extremely happy with what we are doing and tries to join in what she can understand.

I thought that this is excellent because
1) People know about us and know that we are regulars
2) That people are joining in
3) Some of the people interested / joining in arent just the younger blokes as people would expect.

I have a major hangover but it is the best I have ever had. Oh what a feeling!

Just finished watching the replay.

What an awesome win. We never gave up. Fantastic effort for those that made it. Special mention to Legoman who fired up the right end of the bay. Great fun working against those Port supporters near us. They did not expect that coming from Crows supporters and you can tell the crowd is getting used to the idea.

Must say that the guy in front of where I was standing said that he thought our group was fantastic and has kept an eye on us since we started coming. I also noticed that quite a few people in the bay were joining in from the start.

Oh and as I mentioned to a couple of people after the game, interesting that the two games that the club has won since our group started have been when they haven't been able to provide us with tickets and we have all had to just stand in a section

Yeah final siren was mad. I was jumping around and every time I would land I would end up somewhere else, from one end of the bay to the other and back. I think I bumped into everyone.

I'm not sure if I'm still hungover, or just tired. A little bit of both I think. It didn't help that my hangover basically developed while I was awake since I only got two and a bit hours sleep before having to catch my plane home. So obviously I woke up drunk.

I had heaps of fun and we went off. A good night in all.

apparently from 1/4 time, especially with the amount of play we had.

What a joke decision about Burton. 2nd week in a row he has been killed by umpires.

Surely the AFL would have a quiet word to the umpiring department about trying to encourage speckies to bring in more spectators.
