My advocate found the missing pages of my report via Centrelink and has sent them to the NDIS and my GP. Hopefully this is good enough for them?

This thread has been recommended to me by the moderators as a warm and friendly place to just chat after yesterday I was bullied so much that I melted significantly and started blabbing about Captain Horrie Gorringe. In this thread, which is safe, I don't want to be accused of being STPer18 anymore. Even though he is probably the Bay 13 equivalent of Horrie Gorringe and I am proud to be compared to him, it does get extremely annoying sometimes.

So what should we talk about? Is anyone else learning or already know French? Je serais trop contente de parler Francais avec tout les gens ici ! Je ne sais pas quelqu'un qui parle francais chez moi

I've always wanted to learn another language but is it hard and how long does it take to get just a bit proficient?

I don't feel close to being proficient yet. I have practiced like an hour a day for about the last four months but I used to learn it a bit too off and on before that. I use ChatGPT, I watch videos on youtube, I talk to people in French, I take notes in my notebook which is filled with words and all their conjugations. Irregular verbs are the worst at first but you slowly get used to it kind of

It's very hard to understand natural spoken French at it's proper speed for me still. Like I feel very far away from being able to watch a French movie without subtitles even though I can understand and make basic written sentences kind of easy.

It's hard to say how long it should take, I guess it depends. Like if you lived in a country that speaks the language it would be way quicker.
