Player Ratings for Brisbane after tonights performance:

1.5/10-Munro- 39 year old swansong and its coming out with a crash.
5/10 - Wildermuth - passes with his bowling but other opposition are figuring him out after that 1 off knock against the Scorchers.
1/10 Lachlan Hearne- did diddly with the bat. Failed to bring his One Day Cup form from QLD to the Bash. Ive always believed its a step up from domestic cricket to the Bash.
1/10-Renshaw- failed with the bat after being Brisbanes most consistent batter in the Bash this season.
1/10 - Max Bryant- struggled with the promotion up to 5
5.5/10- Weibgen- had to play the anchor role after all the above batsman fell. I thought he did pretty well given the circumstances.
3/10 - Peirson- faced the 3rd most balls (12) of all the Brisbane team. It shows how pathetic that performance from Brisbane as a team with the bat was tonight on an absolute flat wicket at Adelaide.
5/10 - Bartlett- 3rd highest score and picked up a wicket. Not the worst in the whole team.
8/10-Kuhenmann- fair to say I wouldnt have ever envisaged Kuhnemann being top bat for Brisbane. Gave Brisbane something to defend.
6/10- Balkin- maybe now with Brisbanes season effectively over its a chance to blood some kids and see who can cut the mustard at this level. The kids showed something tonight.
6/10- Oli Patterson- like Balkin showed enough and fair play to the kid. Just a pity alot of senior batters in the team didnt give them enough to defend.

I know Brisbane were champs 2 seasons ago but the form and fluctuations can change quickly in this format. A few of those senior heads in that team Im looking at Peirson, Renshaw, Bryant, Munro let their team down big time tonight. With Brisbane 1-4, winning 4 of their next 5 with their net run rate probably wont be good enough to make the finals.

Munro is 39 years old and looks cooked. Farewell Munners in the remaining games and I dont think they can drop an import half way through this campaign.

I'm going to the Heat game on the 10th, so it'd be nice if they've got their shocker of the season out of their system after tonight.

We were pretty happy a couple of years ago when Albury finally got to host a BBL game on new years eve.

The Sydney Thunder were bowled out for that famous 15 in the game leading into it, and I remember thinking how horrible it would be if it happened again.

Thankfully they batted first and put on 200, which sent the 12 000 in attendance home happy.
