Nah...I got recruited last game. I was just a powerless villager still with a wolf wincon.
Back to this- did you become the lowest rung who carried out the kill? And anyone astrally recruited after you became lower than you? Or was the kill carried about by the lowest original wolf?

Pretty sure I became the lowest rung and carried out at least one kill.

Yeah, after we lost Gralin we recruited Cadsky.
I'm not sure how the kills worked though 🤔

Just preparing to put in my action.

If you're able to repeat your intended action, can you kill me? I'm interested to see what happens!

Unfortunately I must use all actions before cycling again.

I can action on you and you have a non-zero chance that I kill you though!

For future games (I asked in my PM):

The randomiser does not exclude my own choice. So if I action ‘Kill MC Bad Genius’ - there is a chance I actually kill him if the randomiser picks kill / MC Bad Genius.

Thanks for letting us know.
I wonder if it’s two separate randomisers eg first a coin flip for target vs action and then another spinning wheel with options for each target or each action. Alternatively if all the targets and actions are put into one spinning wheel then surely changing a target will always be more likely?

Ahh, you basically became an underling /wolf or goon then rather than a villager with a vamp wincon

I'm going to vote for Cadsky for whinging about having to pay attention on day one

clearly lazy

BEaston
This was Gralin’s original vote. It was a stray vote at a time when wagons were building so people (and I had already had people vote on me) I’m not necessarily saying that this is the actual person he missed on - just that if he missed on me I’m confident he would’ve jumped on.

I don't know - it does feel like a level of detail too far to ask. The most efficient way of doing it is the latter, but the action changed yesterday!

Tbh I'll be happy to be taken out of this one. This week is already turning out to be a bit of a disaster at work for me and I'm struggling to find time/ motivation to keep up unfortunately. I'm just a villager this time.

When I have that role, I do a randomiser for the action vs target, then do a randomiser of all actions/targets that the TD didn't choose. But BEaston does it differently and I'm thinking about whether I'll do it differently next time too.

Would it be right to say there's a 1 in 8 chance that the Town Drunk will actually get the target and action they chose?

Yeah fair enough. It’s also only worth asking if it would change your decision making given the different resulting odds

I outed Gralin on post 498, so I thought I'd show the votes up to (so we can see where we were) and after (mainly for the order of votes).

No I'm not doing this every day that I'm alive , and I only collated this by searching for posts with 'BEaston' in them and then manually going through (so there is probably error).

I’m glad Chip let us know as I would’ve probably just assumed your way even though this OP doesn’t specify that it will be randomised to something different /the result will always be different ie in retrospect it makes sense . I don’t mind either way.

With your method, yes or close to that. Coin flip to keep the target (1/2), and 1/4 chance of intended action working. Marginally above 1/8 in total because if the coin flip keeps the action there’s a 1/2 times 1/(how many players left, possibly minus the drink themselves) chance of the chosen target and action working via that avenue too.

Yeah, true. Either way, it's not completely unlikely, so it changes the way Chip should play it (compared to previous Town Drunks).

Depends who the Town Drunk is.
(Probability bias conspiracy theory)
