I will be disgusted if Fremantle bully the tigers this week and we stand by and let it happen. If we allow Crowley to scrag, hold and dominate Lids or let Ballentine get under the skin of Morro/Houli and do nothing to Freos players (within the rules) it will be a shocking result.

Can we please for once turn the tables on a good opposition. Is every team scared of the dockers or something? Why are their players allowed to target other clubs players yet they receive nothing back?

Why is it that Fyfe and Hill, both slight bodied skillful mid fielders, haven't had to put up with the crap that the dockers give out? Why doesn't Fyfe have to go to the game knowing he is going to have a really tough day at the office? Why doesn't Walters have to think twice about going into a contest?

You must make the ball the number one objective obviously...but instead of reacting to Crowley and Ballentine, who are experts in that dirty game, why don't we get under the skin of their smaller players to give them something to think about? Crowley doesn't care about being hit, pinched, held....neither does Balletnine...but how will they react when he sees Hill smashed and bumped to the ground every time he gets within 5m of the ball? How will they react when Fyfe is ridden into the ground time and time again? Maybe this is the way we can win some free kicks for Dockers undisciplined retaliations whilst making it hard for their most skilled players.

I'd looooove for us to be the hunter and not the hunted for once against a good opposition team. Back ourselves to put in our own plans that are not solely focused on stopping Ross Lyons tactics.

Time to bully, time to dominate!

Remember last year during the GWS game when Jeremy Cameron got a free for being bumped around by Batch? The softest free kick in the history of the AFL.

I tried to forget about that. FFS that was a load of shit.

Praying for dry conditions.
I'd like to see Tucky come in to add some hardness to our mids.

problem with that is, if we bully umpires give free kicks (why i hate umps )

You are correct, but there is a fine line that players can legally tread. I'm not talking about giving bumps and holding off the ball. But when the ball is within 5 metres wear them like a glove and really drive their smaller guys into the ground. Who cares if we give a free kick away to Hill/Fyfe/Walters if they are going to be intimidated and less effective for the rest of the game. It seems rather effective against Lids and he is bigger than all the guys from Freo I have mentioned.

Our pressure & intent has to be manic to match what they will bring. They always do under Lyon. They are playing at our Jungle & we have to make them feel it on & off the ground. We should be filthy after our 1 point loss earlier in the year.Jackson to do another great job on either Barlow or Mundy and Lids to go with Fyfe even if Crowley goes with him. Jackson could always go to Fyfe & shut him out later if he has to like earlier in the year. With no Pav or McPharlin nothing short of a win will be acceptable especially with the Swans & Hawks to come in the next 2 games.

Just quietly Fyfe isn't slight bodied at all, and Hill cops attention from taggers every game he plays.

Fyfe is 186cm and 81kg....that is slight mate
In comparison Deledio is 188cm and 88kg.

Lids and Fyfe are both strong bodied athletic guys but they have light frames....thems the facts. Guys with light frames can get physically dominated sometimes. It's about time someone tested out Fyfe. Hill gets attention from taggers but not in the dirty manner that Crowley tags.

Don't worry we've got the Biscuit. CROWLEY THAT IS IT!! GIVE HIM THE MISSION!!! GIVE IT TO HIM BISCUIT!!! Once he's done we'll win.
Crowley, Mundy, Fyfe and Ballantyne that is it!!! JUST DO IT BISCUIT!!
CARN THE TIGES!!!

We have Kingy in the forward line, who is very good at imposing perceived pressure. We just dont have that in the midfield nor backline. And you have to differentiate strength or clumsiness, or even being "hard at it" from ones ability to impose perceived pressure.

Also work on kicking straight. All these behinds kill me
Mainly that.

But start Arnot in the square and let him rip into anybody roughing up our mids, Jackson to protect Cotchin and Lids with bodywork and grunt and hopefully Tucky to help us in the clearances.

Where did you get those numbers! His draft sheet? Bit out of date.
Fyfe is around 191 and 89kg and playing nothing like a skinny kid.

One does not simply tag or tackle Fyfe!

Hilly and Pearce is where you apply pressure with the tough stuff to affect us.

I'd love to see Arnot chase down Ballantyne and drive him into the ground (legally) and then bring Crowley to ground straight after. Would be sweet. Bring in Tuck though, another hard body is definitely needed, he was our best last year against Freo.

Not sure where you get your facts but Fyfe is 190cm+ and 90kgs and would be your biggest bodied midfielder by a fair distance. He's a contested ball winning beast.

When Fyfe had issues with his dodgy shoulders he was being pile driven into the dirt every week so trust me, he's used to that sort of attention.

Barlow is a massive unit as well.

Add Mundy who is 192cm and 90kg's, Crowley 190cm and 89kg's and Deboer who is 188cm and 87kg....we've got the big mid thing covered - you guys have a couple too though
