I will be disgusted if Fremantle bully the tigers this week and we stand by and let it happen. If we allow Crowley to scrag, hold and dominate Lids or let Ballentine get under the skin of Morro/Houli and do nothing to Freos players (within the rules) it will be a shocking result.
Can we please for once turn the tables on a good opposition. Is every team scared of the dockers or something? Why are their players allowed to target other clubs players yet they receive nothing back?
Why is it that Fyfe and Hill, both slight bodied skillful mid fielders, haven't had to put up with the crap that the dockers give out? Why doesn't Fyfe have to go to the game knowing he is going to have a really tough day at the office? Why doesn't Walters have to think twice about going into a contest?
You must make the ball the number one objective obviously...but instead of reacting to Crowley and Ballentine, who are experts in that dirty game, why don't we get under the skin of their smaller players to give them something to think about? Crowley doesn't care about being hit, pinched, held....neither does Balletnine...but how will they react when he sees Hill smashed and bumped to the ground every time he gets within 5m of the ball? How will they react when Fyfe is ridden into the ground time and time again? Maybe this is the way we can win some free kicks for Dockers undisciplined retaliations whilst making it hard for their most skilled players.
I'd looooove for us to be the hunter and not the hunted for once against a good opposition team. Back ourselves to put in our own plans that are not solely focused on stopping Ross Lyons tactics.
Time to bully, time to dominate!
