Why is Rucci suing Gary Lyon and 3aw?
Wouldn't be the 1st time that the jointly owned 3AW & 5AA have had fights between their personalities.

Rucci might care to consider how Harry Kewell has come out in his defamation trial.

Rooch knows he is not accepted as part of the inner footy fraternity and he is bitter that he is not taken seriously.

But, to be frank - why would he be? What is his claim to fame?

The insiders would never accept a hack journalist as one of their own, not when they are so proud of what they have done for, and within the game.

By continuing with this action, he is guaranteeing that he will always be the whiny little bitch outsider, that the footy people (who he desperately wants to be accepted by) will laugh at.

Further, if he ostracised, his lack of contact within, may put his own position in jeopardy.

Rooch - you need to go on Wheel of Fortune, and buy a clue.

I could imagine a flak jacketed Rucci reporting from the Iraqi front ( Baghdad Meridien car park ) ala Mike Moore- Frontline style.

nicely said..... :) ....he just doesn't get it....he has this fantasy that by sueing someone.....it will somehow give him cred.....!.....it's very very sad.... :D

I'm not from SA, so I don't know a great deal about Rucci, all I see is when he is on TV from time to time.

How long has he been reporting Footy, and how did he get there in the first place?

Let's consider the charges on the specifics that need to be proven.

Rooch writes "Ayres does xyz, refuses to do abc, fallen out with player etc etc etc"

Ayres decrees these to be lies.
Cockrooch says he has proof.

Ayres says "ho ho, really go ahead"

Now it would be very hard for the roach to prove the allegations of what ayres has said and done, and even if he could, he would have to reveal sources and probably subpoena witnesses from the club. likely even current players.

This would anger the club, officials and any sources he has ever had. Ergo, he would no longer be able to do his job reporting on the biggest sporting club in the state.

Silly, Silly little man.

Nah! Stewart Sutcliffe, he died 40 years ago as well. ;)

Although Brian Martin is still alive.
err George Martin ..BRIAN Epstein was the manager.

Actually there are many claims to the title ''5th Beatle'' hell even Billy Preston gets a gig.

Wicked Wikepedia

Before they were famous, The Beatles actually did have five members for a time, so "the fifth Beatle" has been used, accurately, to describe their bassist at the time, Stuart Sutcliffe, who left the band in 1962, and died of a brain hemorrhage shortly thereafter. Similarly, their drummer Pete Best (replaced by the more experienced drummer Ringo Starr when the band got a record contract) is often cited as the "fifth Beatle."

Members of precursor bands (such as the Quarrymen) like Pete Shotton, Colin Hanton, and any one of a number of temporary Beatles drummers have, less often, been discussed in this context

The label is often applied to George Martin,

Pianist Billy Preston was the only artist to receive joint credit on a Beatles record, on "Get Back". Preston also played the keyboard on "Let It Be". Preston had been introduced to the Beatles during the early 1960s, but did not work with them until 1969, when Harrison invited him to join them for recording sessions in order to diffuse tensions in the band. Lennon once suggested that Preston join the Beatles, but the idea was dismissed by the others, as by that time, they were on the verge of breaking up.

the band hired another drummer, Jimmy Nichol, to stand in until Ringo became better

Other people who have been referred to as (or claimed to be) "the Fifth Beatle" include:

Brian Epstein, the band's manager until his death in 1967
Neil Aspinall, assistant, road manager and close personal friend of the four. The Beatles once claimed he was indeed the fifth member.
Mal Evans, roadie, assistant, and friend. His role as 'anvil player' on "Maxwell's Silver Hammer" should also be taken into account.
Murray the K, a New York disc-jockey who made the completely unfounded claim to be the Fifth Beatle.
Several musicians recorded with the Beatles in a more limited capacity, and hence could be dubbed "the Fifth Beatle" for a single track or two:

Eric Clapton, who played guitar on "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" .
Jeff Lynne who played a number of guitar parts on "Free As A Bird" and "Real Love" .
Tony Sheridan who recorded with the Beatles for Polydor in Hamburg could arguably claim to have been a band member at this time.
Yoko Ono, John Lennon's second wife, might be referred to as a fifth Beatle,
--------------------------

Sorry to take this way off track ..but I care less for Rucci and more for the Beatles
