Can add that he was just about signed, sealed and delivered to play with St Bernards this year. However Matty Knights and Dean wallis put a lot of time into Ben and tried to convince him that he still had a chance at a league career especially when he will continue to train with Essendon.
He has been told next year might hold better opportunities for him with the likely loss of a few experienced players and a considerably weaker draft.
He was offered bigger money to play at other VFL and suburban teams and knocked it back.
