Asking for Dream Team. Sorry to make the thread but there is no thread like other teams to ask about Dream Team.

How is Ben McEvoy going at training?
And do you think he will get alot of games next year.

Thanks :thumbsu:

Personally I wouldn't have him in my DT.

As a ruckmen he is behind King, Gardiner, Blake and Kosi.

As a forward he's behind Roo and Kosi.

May get a few games, but it would be a little hopeful to expect even mediocre scores.

Just my 3 cents.

Cheers fellas.

Would be awesome if you guys could tell me how he went in the intra-club match :thumbsu:

Apparently he has bulked up a bit... so that is good.

But he will really have to show something in the NAB games as a forward if he wants to get some games this year. We are desperate for a 3rd tall and he is defiently an option if he plays well. So yeah as above, have to wait and see.

Well he's up to 95kg so there is definatley a chance for him to get some games, and with the likely hood of one or all of Kosi, Gards or Kingy to breakdown i think its not out of the realm of possibility to be able to squeeze 4-5 games out of him.
Take it or leave it really.
FWIW he's not in my DT/SC.

Haha do us a favour.
Hows Pat Dangerfield stack up in terms of DT/SC?

Does anyone know how this kid is really going. He's been with us for 2 years now i think. Wouldnt we expect him to be pushing for selection in 3 rd year. He has had very little game time. Did he play for 2nds? Maybe you guys know more. Wasnt this guy supposed to be our number 1 ruckmen for next year and future. He'd wanna get a move on this year.

He was drafted end of 2007, this is his second year

I wouldn't expect Macca to get consistent games till 2010. And wouldn't be surprised if he's not in the top 22 until 2011.

Give him time, hopefully he'll be a great player for us.

But for 2009, I dont think hes gonna do too much.

I think he's a good tall forward option, but as the club is grooming him as a ruckman to succeed King/Gardi, it will take longer for the Saints fans to see good game time. He has a way to go with the ruckwork, but good to hear that he's now got some size about him. We'll soon find out (Feb 16), noting you rarely glean much from intra-club other than who looks fit and who has been able to return from injury successfully.

Spot on, Squizz - last year at the end of the Intra, we were talking up LVR!!!

Should be grooming him as our 2nd tall option. Kosi IMO did nothing last yr other than miss easy shots on goal. Hope he proves me wrong this year - but Macca supposedly has a great set shot on him so I know who I'd prefer to be throwing fwd and moving to the ruck this year.

FWIW we had 3 talls last yr and everyone called for Gehrig's head!

Really, everyone thankyou so much :thumbsu:

Im not a SC legend, thats for sure, but yeah for DT, I have Dangerfield.
Even though Craigy has said some harsh comments to him lately, hes been doing superb at training. I really think if he has a good NAB Cup, he will play in round 1 with alot of injury clouds for regular round 1 starters.

So watch his NAB Cup form, which I think will be superb :)
