Was good in the 1st half just needs to work on kicking. Reminds me of Trav Cloke though, he works hard for a mark but kicking lets him down. A promising prospect and worth a top 10 draft I reckon. Time will tell where his played in the future.

Leeds well, kicking needs work, though the rest of the team needs major kickn practise as well....cost us again...:o

Needs to present with his hands out instead of trying to mark on his chest at every attempt.

Probably was the one thing that let him down this evening.

Top effort on debut though. His first half was very good.

just lacked confidence in the kicking tonight. A few more senior games will tell the future for this, and what i'm sure will be, a superstar.

Solid dukes from what I saw, hard at the ball, just lacks confidence in the kicking department.

the physical contests took their toll on the young kid...simply ran out of steam in the 2nd half
nah no way would collingwood put him in the side if they knew he wasnt up to match fitness. Hawks realised that he was a decent player, and his opponent would have been a tad more reliable.

Loved it when Reid marked at wing/hff turned around and put it down clokey's throat and cloke kicked a long bomb for goal. Just had this sense that we've done well for the future with our twin towers up forward. Our two lefties.

his fitness wasn't the issue, he just lacks that hard body and all the physical contests in the 1st half just wore him down...he just needs time to develop

I thought he looked very good, he was probably pretty nervous with his kicking but there didn't seem to be too much technically wrong there.

agree with post above, he just needs a bit of confidence to get the Dukes out!

For anyone that listens to Brian Taylor on MMM would understand that as a leading forward it is essential to get the arms out stretched to take the grab because in AFL football defenders will eat you alive.

Solid debut. Needs a bit of muscel and the key ingredient, confidence. Dont forget this kid just turned 18!

Agree.

While he missed a couple of shots, he didn't miss them by a great deal and they all came off the boot well and spun properly. At least he didn't kick any Tarrant helicopters or Cloke shanks.

He is very quick! Saw him almost run players down from nowhere.

An exciting prospect IMO. He spot up Medhurst and I think Cloke with some nice passes. If Rocca was back next week I'd still keep him in the side. He will go very well without the responsibility of being one of the main 2 key forwards.

He is going to be an awsome prospect. Hopefully Rusling comes back and we can have Rusling, Reid, Cloke.....wow...i like it

Trav used to have the same problem, I reckon he'll sort it out pretty soon. :)

I was supprised. From what i heard I expected him to be a bit of a stick(fraser like) but after seeing him last night I reckon he will fill out quite well and could be a bit of a monster. Was not scared either , I thought he might be a bit timid but he actually looked like he didn't mind a bit of body contact which was probably the most pleasing thing for me.

Reads the play really well. Not concerned about his kicking as there is nothing wrong with his action. I agree he should have put his hands out more but he did with the first mark and the ball stuck like glue so his hands look pretty good.

I was really impressed. He has the tools the rest will be up to him.

What has his kicking been like at Willi? I have heard and read some concerns but I haven't seen him play a game prior to Sunday.

Up untill about 3 weeks ago reports where his kicking at goal was letting him down but recentlty its approved. He kicked 4 last week and 3 on Grant.

Apparantly last night after half time he strained his hammy.

From the Level 3 I kept getting Reid mixed up with Cloke.

Thought he presented really well and loved it when he pushed up to the HFF in the 2nd quarter, took a strong grab with his knee out, that put Robbie Campbell down. Considering that we where all concerned about his light frame coming into the game I thought this was a really strong piece of play.

Hopefully his kicking improves, nerves would have played a big part being his first game. Malthouse actually said in his press conference that he didn't miss one in the warm up. Shows what match pressure can do. He will only be better for it.

Might be an idea to save him for the 2nd half against the Aints, or anyway keep his overall game time down to 60% or so.
