Starting to find their feet on the MCG, these 2 are going to be very good players for our club :thumbsu::thumbsu:

Bennell especially impressive but even though he promises to develop into a good play Nifty Nev still has a while to go. He'll go back to the 2's when Wona comes back but I look forward to seeing more of him in the future.

Jetta still stuffs up a fair few things, doesn't chase hard enough and often spectates the ball.

There was a contest where both Morton and Jetta were equidistant from the ball yet Morton charged in whilst Jetta simply spectated.

morton does have a years experience on jetta, give jetta some more experience and he will chase down players and get more in the contest

You can't have 2 in MM! No point them running into each other. I wouldn't want to label Jetta as soft thats for sure.

That said I think Jetta will eventually be groomed into a inside midfielder who has some tricks, and any games he is getting as a small forward now are just bonuses.

As for Bennell I think I'm more confident when the ball is in his hands especially out in space than any player for our team. Its not a huge wrap considering our skill level at the moment but he is just so classy. He has work to do on his definsive side but as a small backmen he presents a better option than Bartram who is a better defender but turns it over too much. I'd like to see Barts back to tagging, and Lynden Dunn who was quite amazing today back on a forward flank.

Really like the look of Bennell, can see why West Coast were so keen on him. Looks a great pick at 35. Jetta is a tough little bugger. If you watched the Under 18 championships his tackling, pressure and hardness at the footy stood out. Give him time, though I would play Maric next week to be honest. We need to get games under his belt

I said it after his first game but Jetta needs a lot of time in the 2's. He's young so I'm not having a go at him of cause. Once again, bad decision making and bad skills. He's not even that quick (or doesn't try hard enough). In the second quarter I think it was Bowden just jogged away from him with ease. Jetta was making up ground but no more than your average player. Can't wait till Wona comes back in.

Bennell on the other hand, get it into his hands more often and he will be amazing. Love him.

Very happy with these 2.

Bennell is going to be a gun. No doubt about.

Jetta has a few flaws (kicking/decision making) but from a pick 52 playing in his first season you couldn't ask for much more. I think he'll prove to be a keeper as well. :thumbsu:

I know it's far too early for Barry Prendargast to start beating his chest... but he must be pretty pleased with how these two are developing. To think our first 3 picks haven't been unearthed yet. :)

Bennell, Morton, Frawley are the calibre of youth that will take us to future finals footy. Look forward to seeing more Grimes and Maric action.

I though Jetta chased hard all day, his decsion making and skills will get better and as he adjusts to the speed of AFL he will get quicker. As for ur point wen chasing bowden, maybe Jetta had already put on a few chases and was blowing hard? I certainly saw alot of efforts from him.
