That's the one! Sheesh didn't realise it was 20 years ago though LOL

Cam Faulkner was 20 years ago. That makes me feel ancient !

From memory , the Melbourne radio stations were doubling up on games & there wasn't a live call . I had to make do with updates on the ABC.

Kids these days with their KAYOs, they don't know they're born.

Our run in the 2016 finals is hard to beat.
V West Coast, backs against the wall, injury clouds, given no chance, playing in front of baying West Coast fans.
V Hawthorn, pricked their premiership balloon and Bont took down Hodge.
V GWS, an overwhelming sea of Dogs supporters poured in and booed the shit out of GWS.
I encountered a teary young woman on my way out and she held up her phone and said "It's my Dad, he's crying".

Some games stick in the mind, R17, 1999 at Geelong, Dogs were 4th, Cats well out of the 8, but Dogs were vulnerable at times that year and inconsistent.

Cats got to 20 up, nearly 20 minutes into the last, "Geelong, Geelong, Geelong" the crowd was singing. The bloke standing in front of us had been giving it to the Dogs and us all day, turned and scoffed at us that we were the worst top 4 side he'd seen. Not much you can say at that point.

Ten minutes or so later, Dogs had got up by 7 with a few James Cook and Luke Darcy goals, this bloke turned and pushed his way through, just had to say "that's why we're top 4, mate". Brother and I still chuckle at that one.

2021 prelim was so ****ing good to watch

that first quarter was a genuine shock it just felt like we were kicking goals every minute

what a ****ing time to be alive

shame about the GF after JJ kicked that goal i actually felt like we were gonna win the flag

Spot on , definitely in my top 3.
Also the game on the MCG when Kolyniuk took Tom Alvin to the cleaners with 6 goals.
I liked the one v Pies at the G when Kolyniuk ran around Graeme Wright on the mark to goal and seal the game for us. Went with all my Pies in - laws ..... one left early after that

That was my first ever game, had been in the country 3 days. I had no idea what was going on. My son thinks I still have no idea what’s going on….

Sydney in Sydney late 2016 was so bloody good, closest we have gotten to winning a game after the siren in my lifetime. Was at the game so extra special. Only ruined by Dunstall's call "oh Jo-Hansen'.

Both our winning prelims.

The gws one for the pure adrenaline of such a great match and watershed moment, and the port one for a demolition of those pricks on their home deck.

Away win v Sydney in 2015 was awesome too

Bulldogs beat Carlton 1991.

Carlton got a dodgy free in the last 90 seconds of the game, with Mark Arceri kicking the goal - Carlton's only goal for the game.

Was during the era I'd stand next to the Bulldog players' race and slowly ruin my sleeves every year getting then caught on the barbed wire on top of it.

Not sure if it has been mentioned but I attended the round 2 clash between us and West Coast at Marvel in 2021. I remember thoroughly enjoying it, more-so than any other game I attended that season, and I went to nearly every game we actually could attend that season. 12 lead changes and a massive Bontempelli goal from around 50m out to win it.

Adding another one: Round 16, 1998. Brisbane Lions at Optus Oval.

We won 177-86, interestingly the same margin as last week.

I won a membership competition and ran out onto the ground with the team, clearly spurring them on to an 11-goal-to-one 1st quarter.
Great win, but do you remember what happened the next week?

😳😳

1997 round 6 vs West Coast in Perth.

Given no chance. WC even brought G Jackovich back for this game to "ease him back in" after a few weeks out after injury.

Dogs led for most of the game, winning by 14 points. Sweet as!

I have this game on DVD.

Monty was spectacular.

How good was the Luke Darcy volley to square the ball to Paul Hudson late in the game?

We were the Comeback Kings under Wallace.

The week prior we came from 40 points down at 3/4 time to beat the Crows. Two weeks before that, we were 40 points down at qtr time against the Swans at the SCG and won fairly comfortably in the end.

The week after the Geelong comeback you speak of, we were 15 points down with two and a half minutes remaining against the Blues. We kicked two very quick goals to give us an opportunity to win. A couple of chances inside the final 60 seconds to take a mark inside 50 but it wasn't to be.

We only lost six H&A matches that season (1999) and three of them were by fewer than nine points.

We also lost this game in round two which was a scoring bonanza. Despite the loss, a very entertaining match with almost 300 combined points scored.

1999 was a cracker of a year. So many great matches - the Adelaide MCG comeback from 40 points down at three quarter time was my favourite.

Ah yes.
Young SP and I were there amongst 40k ? wc fans.
Fantastic memories as WC fans were extraordinarily polite leaving the ground with comments about how well we played and what a champ Scott West was.
Brilliant Day!
