i have already made a thread about best full foward so now i'de like to no the best full back

i only put the full backs i thourght were worth voting for so that everyone doesn't vote for their teams fullback

If you go by how important each player is to there team winning, Fletcher has to win it. Essendon only have a 30-odd% winning record with him out of the side.

In 5 or so years time, id say Rutten.

Had to toss a coin, but went for Fletcher over Scarlett. As Fullbacks they are equal, Fletcher's kicking ability just gets him over the line.

5 quality blokes to pick from though...

if its for carrea fletcher, if its for jus thtis year, i would say fletcher based on stats

Interesting how Rutten's stocks have dropped in just a year. This poll taken this time last year would have him and Glass swap votes IMO. Shows how for all these people who think the AA team is a 'load of nonsense' alot of people do seem to place weight on it.

matthew scarlett is a back to back all australian and was unlucky to get 3rd back to back last year. Glass has only come up this year as a top full back, so i think glass may have to get another aa to prove he is worthy.

Glass was very and I mean very good last year as well and would have been ahead of Scarlett for AA.

When it comes to all of holding opponents, areas, rebounding and setting up goals, Fletcher rates above everyone else

Other than holding opponents, yes, Fletcher is the best FB of these qualities (dunno what areas is).

But I'd rather a FB keep the FF quiet then rebound and create and get a heap of touches...especially if it's Jonny Hay!

How many bags did he have kicked on him this year?

Not only does he hold down FB and create goals he also holds down the back area and help out teammates and go to different contests to spoil

Fletcher does keep the FF quiet but not the other forwards.

I really can't talk much, other than against the roos, I haven't seen Essendon play much.

The only times I do watch them play is when Fletch gets a bag kicked on him (against Thommo, Pav, etc).

Thommo and Pavlich kicked 4 which is not quite a bag but a very good game none the less, Pavlich was quiet when Fletcher was moved onto him, 2 games of 4 goals all year ain't too bad
