Who is the best medium sized forward in the competition?

Heeney, Mihochek, Stringer, Fritsch, Zurharr, Breust, Fyfe?

If we are putting [PLAYERCARD]Toby Greene[/PLAYERCARD] in this category he is the best in my opinion. Is an argument for him being a small forward though.

Bayley Fritsch, criminally under rated

At 191cm not sure you can call Fyfe medium sized either
I wouldn’t consider him a key forward or a small forward though.

fritsch is a very good player mihocek is a 4 time leading goal kicker now for Collingwood.

Mihocek is not a medium sized forward.

Last year on goals...
Fritsch 55 from 24 games
Heeney 49 from 25 games
Bolton 43 goals from 23 games
Breust 40 goals from 19 games

Before looking at the goals, I was thinking Fritsch, Heeney & Breust.

Is Fyfe even really a forward at all? He's moved down there now as his career is winding down, but he hasn't shown much chops as a forward so far

There's many ahead of him in the conversation for best in the comp medium forward wise

I will be backing him for leading medium sized forward point kicker...

Yes I’m just putting it in there for conversation. He did start as a forward so I’m interested to see how he does.

Which is why I’d still class Toby as a medium forward
Yes this is true , Darling plays more traditional key forward role though. I think he would be the perfect 3rd tall though and may find it more difficult without Kennedy.

Toby is good enough overhead to be considered a medium forward. I just think he is a class above the other names in that position.

Fritsch, Greene, Bruest.

Bruest very underrated though. Hasn't had a year under 30 goals in his career other than an injury interrupted 2020. Has kicked 40+ in 7 out of 12 seasons. Whilst he is rarely in the best 2-3 small/mid forwards in the comp, he's been in the top 5-6 basically his whole career. Never wastes a shot on goal either so he can be 3rd, 4th, 5th banana When Hawthorn were stacked, and still contribute his 2-3 goals a game.

Depends how you choose to judge it I suppose

Someone like Martin would probably have been a 50 goal a year forward if he had just played there but because he spent time between mid a forward obviously his goal tally isn’t as high as the ones that play there permanently

I really rate Greene. Kicks goals but also gets up the ground and creates them.
