FB: Rivers - Warnock - Jo. MacDonald
HB: Strauss - Frawley - Bruce
CT: Morton - Moloney - Davey
HF: Watts - Bate - Sylvia
FF: Jurrah - Green - Wonna
RU: Jamar - Grimes - Ja. McDonald ©

Int: Trengove - Petterd/Maric - Scully - Johnson

AND WILL THIS TEAM BE COMPETITIVE TO ATLEAST WIN 4-6 GAMES THIS SEASON?OR WILL OUR RECRUITMENT OVA 2-3 SEASONS BE A WASTE!!

Plus Wonna as back up. Gotta say though, while it might not look great now, in five years time that team is going places.

You've drafted the best talent in the country over the last few years and also hit the jackpot a few times with Jurrah, Wonna etc. Give the boys time to grow into men and you'll be fine.

It is hard to say what our "best" team is. Do you mean on current ability, or potential, or a team that best serves our interests (in developing our young players)?

We've still got players like Blease, Gysberts & Tapscott who haven't played, Watts isn't in our current best 22 but could be in our top 5 in the future, and JMac wont be there next year - plus theres the threat of a player being pinched by the Gold Coast.

If that was the team we were going to put out on the field this week against the maggies i would be happy.

I think you need to differentiate between "best team" to implement Bailey's gameplan, and most talented 22 players.

Most of us would like to think that having our most talented 22 players on the park at the same time would make us competitive. Under Bailey, I somehow doubt it.

I'd have McKenzie and Garland in before MacDonald and Strauss.
