Best Small Forward.

Having an arguement over who is the best small forward in the league. I thought this might settle it. Would love your help.

I voted for Johnson, but really there is very little difference between him and the other contenders, with the exception of Farmer.
Farmer is not in the same class as the others imo

Well the person I was arguing against was a fan of Didak, so i'm pleased on one has voted for him.

You would be the only one who thinks that. Johnson hands down. Not even worthy of a comparison.

Didak or Davey from that list. I don't consider Johnson or O'Keefe small forwards though. If they are then Nathan Brown is too and he's the best of the lot easy.

In comparison to the generic tall forwards, he would be considered small at only 182 cms. Still would have Johnno over Browny any day of the week. Has the body, smarts, application and leadership that warrants his place as the most consistent and dangerous small forward currently in the competition.

If they're staying in the F50 I'd go with Brown. He's a freak. Midfield I'd take Johnson.

He kicked 74 goals last season in the F50...can kick the freakish goal. Id be willing to bet Brown couldnt kick that amount in a month of Sundays. He had an opportunity to when Grant went down whilst they played under Rhode. From memory, his average was 3-4 pts for every goal he scored.

Even though Johnson doesn't play as a small forward, that is only because of lack of opportunity. The Doggies need him as a leading forward, and he is good at it, but he is still a small forward.

But in terms of forward line ability alone, i'd have to say Didak. Only just mind you.

i think we need some one with his abilities on the Half forward line

Nor does O'Keefe or Brad Johnson for that matter.

Williams is just a forward who is small.

out of that list brad johnson wins easily. Would be in the top 10 in the league IMO. none of the others would get close except maybe o'keefe.

whether johnson is classed as a small forward is debatable.

he is small who plays forward so yes in my opinion he is a small forward.
What i would class as a small leading forward.

Well looks like I'm the only one that thinks Davey is the best in the comp. I didn't vote for Johnson simply because I don't class him as a small forward. He is a better player and forward than Davey though.
