Decent recovery from the bowlers but I think the Hurricanes can just keep slogging and get a good score even if they get bowled out.

I can see Pope being in the picture for the Australian side in the coming years.

Not necessarily.

12 months ago,I would have said the same thing about Jake Weatherald and he had now played the entire summer of an Ashes series.

Plus, the Australian selectors are not afraid to give a debut to a player older than 20. Unlike the AFL, they pick players in their late 20s to early 30’s.

If Lloyd Pope ever represents Australia, my money would be on a T20 game. That’s where his skill set are best used.

There's very few sports that coaches have smaller influence than cricket.

Paine might be a rubbish coach but we have a rubbish squad. That's the biggest issue, particularly on the batting side.
