I ask this respectfully, but who is AC Bannerman? For the curious. Liam Scott is 10 runs behind AC Bannerman's percentage so far.

Charles Bannerman opened the batting for Australia in the first ever test match in 1877. He scored 165* (retired hurt) out of Australia's first innings total of 245.I ask this respectfully, but who is AC Bannerman?![]()

Excellent knowledge you have. Thank you for passing it on.Charles Bannerman opened the batting for Australia in the first ever test match in 1877. He scored 165* (retired hurt) out of Australia's first innings total of 245.
Which is 67.35% of the total. It is still the world record in tests for the highest percentage of runs by one batter in a completed innings.

Short and Lynn are way overrated: they're there to get talked up by the commentators to fail.Short has been getting out caught in the covers every game
I reckon hes a pretty reluctant captain TBH, almost like "well we dont have anyone else so i better do it"Short and Lynn are way overrated: they're there to get talked up by the commentators to fail.
Lynn is past it and Short, while he looks smooth and classy, seems to hit good shots along the ground straight to the field, then get frustrated way too early and hit nothing shots in the air straight to the field. We need another Royal Commisison here. He sets a very poor example as Captain while batting: he really needs to anchor the innings with such a poor batting side.
