I'm really happy that Ben won, he seems like a top bloke. No doubt that Ben is giving Blair money, i don't see a problem with it, it's Ben's money and he can do as he pleases.

And the "Best way to get the public offside" award goes to the Australia Tax Office...who today announced they will be taxing Ben's prize of $250,000 at the top rate of 48.5% because "he was employed as an actor"!!!
What a load of bollocks, I've seen better acting by Matthew Lloyd and Ronnie Burns on the footy field!
But well done to Ben and Blair...I think the interviews last night showed clearly they were both deserving winners and good guys.

Actually...i think Ben and Blair might split the winnings. This may be a smart thing to go...as mates...but also it may ease the sting of the taxman.
They might do this in private. Blair was happy for Ben and showed great sportsmanship, and i do believe they will share the 250k. I think they feel like they both won.
Anyway onya Benny. He would have been the underdog over the two nights and he won by a fair margin last night.

I think that after the Taxman gets his 49%, Benny boy won't have enough left to give to his parents and family, and then a bit to spend as well. I don't think Blair cares about the money anyway, well he keeps saying he doesn't. But I think that anybody who was in that house was there for the prizemoney as much as anything else.

Great also to see the sportsmanship between Blair and Ben, they're obvious now great mates and it's good to see that both guys were delighted to hear the news that Ben won.
Ben seems a very genuine bloke and I'm sure that a fair bit of money will be coming Blair's way.
Watching the show, I noticed a large ugly-looking bald fella behind Ben and his Mum and Dad. It was one of his cousins and was none other than 'Pumpkin' Stefan Carey (former Swans and Brisbane Lions) player.
I checked on the Big Brother website and they verified that it was indeed Stefan Carey, who was drafted by the Swans from the Pennant Hills club close to Ben's home of Epping in north-west Sydney.
Good to see a bit of an AFL connection with Benny. Does anyone know what Stefan Carey does these days? (Apart from trying to cash in on his cousin's new-found fame)

Reports on radio today said that ben will go to America and have that eye operation so he won't go blind by the time he's 30. The rest of the money will be for personal use and a charity of his choice.

Ben's cousin mentioned that it had something to do with an old Korean bloke they used to work with. He didn't speak much, but when the lunch break came around he would scream out JOTA!

I'm glad to see ben won it, be deserves it. Blair really didn't need it IMO only because he's got the looks and personality that'll make him big bucks in the coming months anyways so good luck to him too.

BB contestants are part of a voting process which determines who wins, therefore it could be seen as a raffle or a talent comp. The contestants are hardly 'actors' even though they are in front of cameras.
