If England can't win in these circumstances they can't win at all.

It seems like the most likely...in which case they're pretty ****ing selfish.Curious how this Wednesday night restaurant situation unfolded. Was the person out and about while awaiting test results and then told Pat, who immediately left and called CA? Bizarre.

You suspect English sabotage?
Yeah, that's completely ****ing ridiculous... I'm not the only one who thinks that not having to isolate until after your result comes back sounds nuts, right?
I think that's the rule here too if you don't have symptoms.... I'm not the only one who thinks that not having to isolate until after your result comes back sounds nuts, right?

Yep, if we're making people get tested beforehand, on day 2 and 6 after arriving from Feb 5, making them isolate all those times is ridiculous, especially as they'd be expected to be negative. That's what we're heading towards, I suppose. Otherwise you couldn't even do a weekend away, you'd be isolated until it was time to fly back home again.
The Poms didn't sign up for it but I am surprised the teams aren't operating in more of a bubble.

I assume it'll be like the US sports, where players are regularly out for a week or two because they have COVID or are a close contactSo the next question then is if Covid is being accepted as in the community, and if you play professional sport but can't play if exposed to Covid, then what protocols have the players agreed to and are they going to be tightened to avoid a repeat of this?

No eating together at the same restaurant from now on guys. If you have to go out to eat, go separately.
