Watched game delayed with the GF and spent most of the game whinging about commentary.

Not all inclusive but

  • The general dribble and lack or focus
  • At one point they mention Maxwell's century in a World Cup semi-final against Sri Lanka in 2015. That semi final was against India and I think the innings itself was in the group stage vs SL at the SCG.
  • Howard thinking the straight break bowler was ripping it both ways
  • Howard discussing Sri Lanka hattricks and said the last one taken was by Hasaranga against Sri Lanka.
  • Warne not knowing how many would be outside the rope if they were penalised a fielder (down from 4 to 3 in his mind)

I could go on but that's what got me the most.

This has been another episode of what grinds my gears.

You look at someone like Angus Brayshaw who had awful concussion issues and has been back playing for a while, and Pucovski is only 24 which is so young for a bat, so I don't know if you necessarily have to put the line through his whole career, but he needs a long break rest at the very least.

Sad, very sad, but you would think thats it for Pucovski.

While he is a real talent with a bat, the reality is that these repeated concussions are just way too frequent to dismiss that it's not a more than bad luck, you would have to think that some serious medical issues and consequences would appear to be at play here.

As a father, I would be shattered for my kid, not being able fulfil their dream on playing Cricket for Australia, however I would be far more worried and concerned about their long term health and wellbeing.

I have a lot of empathy for him, I succumbed to a serious injury that put me out of ever playing football again, at the age of 23.

It only took me twenty years or so, to totally get over it.
Well almost totally over it ....... as it still pisses me off ............ even at my ripe old age.

While I will never ever pretend it to be the same as playing the game, I did however find some solace in Coaching and Football Administration.

That said, when injury ends your sporting career prematurely at an early age, it's devastating.

Auctioneer from the IPL auction collapsed during the auction today. The stream stayed on the room for about 5 minutes with the onlookers a combo of worry and care, general praying and then one third still looking at spreadsheets and data while a medical emergency was going on.

Also I have no idea who have the IPL players are these days but good for them making more money than Il make in a lifetime in a couple minutes.

He seems to be at the stage where a stiff breeze could give him a concussion.

Smith is so out of form at the moment.

He won't have to worry about being dropped as the "collaborative approach" will keep him in the side.

Tim David just got more cash at the IPL than Pat Cummins
Averaging 55 with a SR over 200 in the PSL.

I always knew he was going to be a star, back when I was watching him for the Scorchers while saying he was useless.

So Puc knocked himself out with a Volleyball. Any form of sport seems like a high risk activity for the poor bloke- obviously has some physiological condition that means he will get a concussion from the slightest knock.
What a great shame.
Only bloke I've ever seen who could get concussion from a Volleyball was the great Scott Stirling, and that was a cumulative effect after his soccer heroics.
