Ferrari won there first world champ for like ages! Man Utd I agree on,Holden ; maybe coz everyone knows how shit and pathetic the fords are, and they should be racing in the V-DUB League! Essendon I defently agree on.

To your second list, if you still love the Bulls (like me and jod), even though they have the worse record in the NBA, are we called bandwagoners??? Cowboys and Yankees i agree on but anna!, she is god damn hot! :)

TT- look at Jethro's post and the crowd figures for your own in club in their most successful year in a long time- 1995 compared to the year before.

I am an LA laker fan, have been since 93/94 when they were struggling, and as for essendon, you just assume everyone supporting them is a bandwagoner, thats not true, carlton and collingwood have just as many bandwagoners, essendon draw well regardless of their position, carlton definitely dont

------------------
Essendon - The greatest club with the greatest coach in the league ! Carlton- absolute hypocrites who accuse others of being cheats only for it to be found later that carlton are the "serial salary cap breachers" as quoted by our president, haha

ha ha ha ha this is so funny - if you really want to pick out a side for bandwagon jumpers the Lakers are it. Easty just chose the wrong time to get on the bandwagon. Go the Minneapolis Lakers!

And you point being?

That the dramatic increase shown between 1993 and 1995 is proof of a large bandwagon element?

Since 95, we have been intermittently inconsistent and unlucky, not making the finals in any of them, yet always threatening.

Nonetheless, the avg attendance has remained consistently healthy.

Does this mean that 20,000 people forgot to get of the bandwagon?

Or did Richmond achieve and maintain a 100% growth in hardcore support?

I suggest the latter is more likely.

P.S. - Wait till you get a load of us this year - we will be back on the most hated list with a bullett! :D

well if a richmond supporter accuses our club of being the so called "bandwagon (f*ck im getting tired of that word) club" I think Im more than entitled to reply, that while our figures have been steady all the way through, richmonds suddenly jumped up significantly during a season of success.

Its more a case of defending my club again.

Im asking a richmond fan ,TT,who is accusing MY club of BW status, to look at the stats, which show his own club is more worthy of it than mine.

simple.

TigerTank, beautifully put cob :D
I'd just like to go on the record (to remove myself from future glory days as a bandwagon jumper) as saying T-Wolves all the way.... reason? - first mob to give an Aussie a go, been on them since they drafted Longley, should've given Heal more of a go though.

Oi!!! You watch what you say!! ManUre are NOT the REDS !!! The REDS are the Mighty Liverpool FC!!! ManUre has the biggest bandwagon of all!!

Q. In what way is Manchester United like a computer virus?

A. Everything before 1993 has been deleted!!

Has all this discussion come about because an Essendon supporter accused our club of having a high Bandwagon element, whereas placing his own second last?

Isn't a bandwagoner one who jumps of (as quick as he got on) when the going gets a little rough?

You have failed to explain how the statistics support showing that these bandwagoners have indeed jumped off in the very rough years since 1995.

Indeed, the statistics show that our average home crowd has increased since that time.

The facts do not support Richmond having a large bandwagon element any moreso than they do Essendon.

Indeed, analysis of the provided figures show that the trend of average crowd figures for Essendon and Richmond are remarkably similar, notwithstanding the fact that Essendon have had some stellar seasons during that period, as opposed to Richmond's stellar mediocrity! :D

For the record, Essendon's average home figure spiked from 27,762 to 45,550 (64%)between 1991 and 1993. This was probably influenced by the move from Windy Hill (?) and the fact that 1993 was a premiership year.

Richmond's average home figure jumped from 23,412 to 43,551 in the years between 1993 and 1995. This was influenced by the fact that we were a basket case until 1994, at which point a lot of the players grew the confidence that enabled them to compete.

Since these spikes, bith clubs have been able to hold consistently strong home figures.

TigerTank, you've just brought to my attention that I am in fact a bandwagoner. Since Schumacher went to Ferrari I've been a big fan, since 1994 (when I started to follow soccer) I've been a Man Utd. fan. I don't know much about cars but I favour Holden over Ford. I don't like Essendon or the Bulls anymore but the Cowboys have been my gridiron team ever since they beat the Bills by about 40 in the Superbowl. The Yankees are my favourite baseball team and ANNA is the only female tennis player to watch in my book. Does this make me a bandwagoner??? All these years I've been a bandwagoner and nobody's told me. Oh the shame, the humiliation......

well, all i can say is, ive followed hawthorn since i was born, i was bread that way, if i went for anyone else i wouldve been shot and well, im glad i follow them because they are great!
On the basketball front, i support any NBA side that gives an aussie a go, i dont care who they are or how bad they are but thats just the way i am!
Car racing sux and so does soccer so there is no point even going there

and one more thing!

Lleyton Hewitt is an absolute champion and ive loved the way he plays the game since day 1!

What Mr Tank neglected to preface his moan with was that he was once MUFC until he realized that as a Protestant he was actually being a traitor & so joined the provo's down Maine Rd way.
Years of relegation compared to absolute domination have soured his views.
Them's the breaks.

As a person who follows F1 but follows drivers & not marques, I can assure Mr. Tank that Ferrari have always had a huge following successful or not.

Essenscum are not part of the big 3 by accident either.

What all these 3 organizations have in common is a Catholic background. Could it be that Mr. T has some hidden agenda?
Maybe he should post in orange.

==========================

As for topdon's Liverpiddle, don't make me laugh!
Sunderland & Newcastle are now bigger clubs!!
And their supporters seem to make it home from their games ALIVE!!!!
"Oi, no shoving down the back!"

TT, I agree with most of your list except for 3 of them.

The Lakers bandwagon is now the one everyone seem to be jumping on, not the Bulls now that Jordan has gone.

The Cowboys are not the great team they used to be. There really isn't a team in the NFL today that is any more popular than another. I think if the St Louis Rams can win their 2nd SB in 3 years this season then everbody will jump on their bandwagon because they have some of the biggest stars in the NFL playing for them.

As far as Anna goes don't you need to be successful to have people jumping on your bandwagon. I think the only jumping her male fans what to do is into her bed.
