Biggest Dilemma EVER

Hugely unfortunate dilemma here.
i have 2 options:
1). Go to Q Land for the 1st time in 10 years in September, when the grannie is on, when i never go on any holidays away from gtown
or
2). Hope we make it to the GF, and if we do, indulge is GF week and head to the MCG, Skilled, or fed square to watch it on some form of a big screen and soak up atmosphere??

hate to break it you ya mate, but geelong being geelong, an opportunity for a flag and everlasting greatness may not come around again for another forty odd years. Queensland isn't going anywhere, but you may only get one chance to see the Cats lift the cup.

Can only suggest you throw yourself on the mercy of your folks KCF and try to get them to move their holiday by a few weeks either way.

If I were you, I'd ditch the Sunshine State - it ain't going anywhere. But it could be something special to stay in Geelong and watch the town go nuts if we make and win a GF.

Id go upto QLD, theres often good places you can watch the GF up there, and when i went in 05 i went with other Cat supporters to this place to watch our final with Melbourne.

Then i watched our semi in Melbourne and we lost.

So that should be a hint.

Just do what I do... When the draw comes out, I find the Geelong game at the Gabba and plan my trip for then. I'm heading up on September 1st and coming back on the 7th I think (first day of the finals). If the Cats don't play at the Gabba, either hope that they'll play the Roos at Cararra OR follow the Storm to Suncorp

But yeah... you have to plan these things much better

My work always has AFL tickets for offer. Last year they had GF tickets which they gave away for good work performance to staff who didnt give a shit about AFL.

Make a deal with the folks, you'll go up there with them but if the Cats make it you get to fly back early for it. Else you're not going. This tactic is most likely to work on your Mum
