If anyone wanted to know why Biglands should be traded his effort in the first quarter in giving Charman a round house left to the head should surely show people that he does not have a brain.

He will go for at least 3-4 weeks. Pity his attack on the ball and consistency of effort on the field does not match his pugilistic manners.

Trade him now - he is a bloody idiot.

Yep that was bloody stupid! Just before that he could'nt outmark Acker, and then he hits a Lion! To say I was ****ed off with him is an understatement!

Sadly never going to reach potential - yes trade him to Richmond with a player/draft pick for Ottens.

28 Next Year. Played 82 games, average of 7 disposals & 2 marks per match.

Plays 1 good match in every 10.

Whereas he sometimes looks like the complete package, truth is he's more of a complete dud.

Re: Re: Biglands but small brain

You just cant go around kinghitting blokes like that.

As someone said on the main board...not much difference between that and what Danny Williams did in the Rugby. Williams played the ball then decked the bloke....Biglands kicked the ball then decked the bloke.

The first replay they showed (the side on view) shows he didnt seem to have any intention of going the ball at all. Dunno how hes gonna defend that. 6-8 weeks may not be out of the question. Hes lucky that Charman got back up.

I wish we'd got Charman last year!

Ayres was obviously right not to talk to Biglands after his first suspension...you can't get anything through that thick head!

A coach can change many things, but a lack of footy brain - no can do

When will people realise he 's a liability and should be traded for another ruckman, anyone.

Hi guys, Commiserations on last night.

I was at the game, and Biglands is a huge liability for you guys.He seemed to lose his rag very easily last night,no reason, eg no one giving him an earful, he just seems to snap.Totally weird.

As for the game, i felt for you guys, having been to a few Bears matches where we lost by those margins, its awful.

I hope you get rid of Craig,I personally think Wallace would be good. But you can only get a good coach if you let him have free reign to do as he wants,no interferance, and from reading this board maybe your clubs heirachy wont let that happen, which is a shame.

I really like Doc Clarke,we knew him when he was at Brisbane, a true gentleman, he looked real uneasy last night.A sad sight.

Good luck for the rest of the season.

Good post Campbell. Thanks for your thoughts.

i too that Clarke was on edge. Maybe this was his last game at the Gabba.

I cannot agree more with Waynes World, even though I was howled down by all and sundry on another post.

Unfortunately we will have to keep him for a year unless we can get a trade for another ruckmen.

Dylan McLaren might be useful. Brisbane may be prepared to let him go for a relatively small price, given their bigman problems.

If we gould get an Ottens or another relatively expereinced ruckman we could get this brainless dill off our list.

But surely we would try and package Biglands up as part of any Ottens trade so that the loss of a ruckman wouldn't prevent Richmond doing the trade.

eg Burton and Biglands, that would have to go close to doing it IMO

I would not be against this Macca.

We need to get thinking footballers onto our list. Burton and Biglands do not qualify.

The other thing we have to do is to find players of character. We need the new generation of Bickleys, Smarts, Rehns, Pittmans etc.

pretty dumb act. I think he may have had his hair pulled which is why he reacted, but still no excuse.

3-4 weeks I would say.

Good for us in any case as we can now try Hudson with a bit more game time/

Biglands "hooking" Charman really made my blood boil! how thick is this guy? he's about as dopey as footballers come i reckon. you've been suspended for 4 weeks earlier in the reason, so the reason for "punching" someone in the face in Rd 17 would be??

he'd be better suited "throwing" his weight around in other ways rather than using a forearm or a short jab to the face!

if he doesn't get 6 weeks the tribunal is weak as p***! if they find him guilty (and blind freddy would), then previous tribunal results come into the equation, and his four weeks earlier in the season will work against him... 6+ IMO...and deserved!

He did a pretty dumb thing and deserves to go BUT was what Biglands did worse than what Farmer did?????? I don't think it is. Farmer got off. I think Biglands shoudl go but if Farmer got off then I think Biglands should too.

I agree with you, what Farmer did was shocking!

However, there was enough doubt for even the most one-eyed Crows supporter to see that it COULD have been accidental! What Rhett did was clear, concise and deliberate!

He's in strife unfortunately! Big strife!

Adelaide's Rhett Biglands will front AFL Tribunal chairman Brian Collis for the second time this season after he was cited for striking Brisbane's Jamie Charman in the opening quarter of last Saturday night's clash at the Gabba.

Biglands received a four-match ban after pleading guilty to striking Docker Graham Polak in round three.

Matthew Clarke will face the Tribunal on a charge of wrestling Lion ruckman Jamie Charman.

Lions midfielder Jason Akermanis is among four players from Saturday night's clash required to face the AFL Tribunal on Tuesday night.

Akermanis was reported for striking Adelaide's Martin Mattner in the first quarter, following video reports officer Ian Robinson's review of the weekend's matches.

Under Blight the Crows had the lowest number of reports over his tenure. Also all hell would break loose if a player questioned an umpiring decision.

Now Biglands deliberately strikes players on 2 occasions in short succession.
Players back to regularly questioning decissions.

A breakdown of team discipline and time for the AFC to show that it will not tolerate this lack of discipline, particularly in a young side.

Over and above his penalty this week, the club needs to also impose its own penalty.
Being black balled by the coach now is not enough.

I'd expect Rhett to get at least 3 matches. Given his shocking record this year. 3 times he has been reported. Idiot.

Yeah, been a problem with the Crows that we have too many dumb footballers as Biglands is no orphin. That's why it has been good to see the likes of Hentschel & Rutten come into the side this season (along with giving Reilly a decent go), as these guys do think about what they are doing.

We will take Biglands off your hands for Aaron Fiora.

The best thing about that trade is there is absolutely no risk of Fiora smacking a guy and getting a few weeks at the tribunal.

An Otto trade will be very interesting come trade time.

Josh Carr wants out
Steig may leave
Polak wants out
Jonathan Brown not signed.

Hmmmm.
