200 + cm footballer with a physical presence, mobility and foot skills.....Just needs to ask himself 'Where is my ceiling'.

Billy will probably never reach his full potential but he's been impressive so far this year, totally salivating the possibility of a match up with Thilthorpe!

He makes me a bit nervous and it’s hard to argue against anyone who says he’s an average footballer but I am loving what he’s achieved here at the pies.

Long may it last! Go Billy!
Darcy Moore makes me more nervous when he has the pill. He's like a headless chook sometimes.

I think we need some more love here to be honest.
Since coming back in Billy has been enormous.
Don't recall him getting beaten,
Making a bad blue or being a liability.
His form is actually better than when he got regular footy in 2023, a massive part of why the backline is holding together.
What's important here is that it's not necessarily just about winning his 1vs1 it's what his doing to the team defense, he plays a selfless role. there has been a couple of occasions when the ball has gone out on the full by the oppo and his being the closest player and yet he just throws the ball off to J Daicos or Perryman etc and runs back into the hole, not looking to get stats but do the team things

I agree. I think that the playmakers in defence are Josh Maynard and Howe while Frammers and Moore are more the workmanlike blokes who play the stopping roles.

He's not just passable, he's actually quite good when playing as a nullifying defender on the big strong forwards. And to be honest, he always has been when he's played in this role.

He looks rock solid, and is a foundational part of a back six who just keep getting it done.

How many players have won a premiership playing as full forward and full back...?

The big difference I’ve noticed in him is his consistency. Usually he’s a bit hot and cold at times, usually he does well but then can have a really bad one.

I don’t think he’s had a single game this year that I would classify bad or even below average. Hopefully gets a new contract soon!

He was fantastic today again.
Ive noticed this year he seems to also be playing within his limitations . Previous years he was a worry with ball in hand , now he tends to pick the safe option long down the line (the occasional baulk and sidestep excluded)
Perfect summary.

A man who has accepted and now plays within his limits. I don't think he'll lose his place in this side (unless through injury / suspension). I think he'll be our back up ruck.

Only this year people on this board were talking about how we'd never win a premiership with Frampton in the team. That's what I love about the Bigfooty comments -- thrown around without any accountability or balance. And then we all just carry on as if nothing happened. 😂

His positioning has improved ten fold since he came back in, has been nothing short of enormous for us considering how small we are, and secondly how many inside 50s we concede.
Personally for me he’s been the best story of the year for us, watching him come his man today to intercept or stop a certain breakaway is something he’s been doing all year.
