In 2024 he wasn’t a team defender and he lived and died by those one on one matchups.

Now he’s got the system down pat, knows which holes to plug and when to run off his man to help out.

I think you’re underestimating the mental bandwidth of Frampton (a sentence that makes me laugh). He is perfectly capable of playing this chop out role for 5 minutes a week over 2 games max without it derailing him.

Given Fly wasn’t the coach in 2021, not sure the relevance. You don’t move the captain CHB to accommodate Frampton

It's really noticeable that the last in line bloke automatically puts his fist through it rather than going for the mark like they used to.

Prior to this year, anything other than a successful fist to the boundary would have my heart in my mouth.

This year he has poise. He now has an offensive game.

One of the biggest improvers at the club IMO.

if you want an explanation for the turnovers/Frampton-esque moments obviously he started as a ruck/forward and was turned into a defender 3 years ago so obviously hasn't been in the role very long and also got moved around position wise a lot last year due to injuries and last week got moved into the ruck so it explains why his game while very good wasn't as Presti-esque as the last month or so
