Craig said he hoped Brett Burton's knee problems would sideline him for only two weeks.

"For the last six weeks Brett has played under a degree of sufferance with knees and so forth," he said. "He's done a fantastic job for our footy club. To keep calm with himself and be able to cover a range of roles on the weekend with the injury list we had … just to be able to hang in there and cover for us, I'm very appreciative of what Brett did for our team.

"Now it's time to consider Brett as an individual. With the numbers we've got, we've got the capability to do that. What we really want from Brett is for him to get back with a fit, healthy body so he can attack the game the way he wants to and the way we want to see him do it."
"just to be able to hang in there and cover for us" - Thanks Mr Burton. There was a bagger or two here, and of Mr Craig for playing him, now we know it was considered necessary for the team to win... and he stood tall. Be proud, Birdman. :thumbsu:

Personally I think it is some what alarming that he has been playing underdone. OK so they would know if it causes long term injury etc, but remember what happened to McLeod and McGreggor, better get it fixed earlier than later.

Silly move by Craigy. Burtons input over the past few weeks has been minimal. You don't go wasting one of the few genuine match winners we have.

Kevlar Teflon Duck-feather armour coat&trousers zipped up just in case ... please, what did that mean ? :)

I was presuming it meant that Dyertribe's Dream Team was F - well, you can guess the last bit.

Well a fit Burton is a big inclusion.

He overs so much on everyline potentially.
