**** Dangerfield I reckon.

Kreuzer's on big money at Carlton, he would demand at least 500k to move over. He's not worth that sort of money, especially with his injuries.
Now they are rebuilding they are going to have plenty of money in the short term, with few stars worth jack shit.Don't think he could expect 500K given his body issues. Doubt Carlton would offer 500K.
Think 300-400 for a couple of years and see what happens. If his body gets right then can be upgraded.
Carlton will want draft picks not Kruzeur on big money IMO.
Have to remember Krezeur has been in the system for a while for not many games. His role has not yet been defined. Carlton saw him as a forward, then wanted him ruck then a combination. Nothing has really been secured in terms of Krezuer's overall consistent impact.
A number of clubs simply will not risk it with Kruzeur IMO. Frankly for Carlton they really are not in a situation to risk it looking well ahead now.
The reason I like Krezeur apart from the Cotch angle and in Melbourne is at value if he can get up he theoretically could suit us. He could play FF leading why JR in the pocket doing what JR does so it will not upset JR. Young McKenzie can help FF when Krezeur is in the Ruck and McKenzie can help FB when Krezeur FF. Griffiths can ruck and play closer to half forward so no issue there.
For me Krezeur is more proven as a ruck and FF than TV. TV is more a ruck forward without a real role. But Krezuer you can actually define where he would play positionally to blend with the team set up. I think Krezeur could really be a missing key which is why I am interested in him apart from FA option

Apparently Dan Hannebury is selling his house in Bondi... Jussayin
Could mean anything.Apparently Dan Hannebury is selling his house in Bondi... Jussayin
Why get Kreuzer? May as well stick with Tyrone
Whilst i would love for Hannebery to come to richmond i think its impossible for him to leave sydney even if he wanted to.
Just think about it this way , say you were him and wanted to come back to melbourne you would want to come back to a team of your choice and while you are moving would want to get as much coin as you could possibly get and that would mean waiting until you are a FA which i believe he is at the end of 2016
You would have to think he would wait out another year and see which team fits your needs and is prepared to pay what you would be happy with and my estimation would be $700k+
I personally would be looking to trade out some players like Conca,Vickery,Grimes,Grigg to make room for players like Dangerfield & Hannerbery and minimise the risk of them leaving when they are Fa's
I got shot down big time for saying the same thing last year mate.I hope the club avoids Hannebury like the plague.
One of the bigger party animals going around. Rates himself very highly too. Would be a shocking addition to the chemistry of the clubhouse.
Probably on 3 mill a yearWhat is Hannebury's contract status anyway?
Don't forget his COLAProbably on 3 mill a year

Ben Cousins likes a party to Magic .Didn't know that. Thanks for the info. Certainly something to keep in mind
Ben Cousins likes a party to Magic .
Hannebery's partying is about as well known as Cousins, was the point I was making .He was cheaper than Hannebery and we are getting closer to our window now so need to be smarter and a bit more selective IMO.
To be fair the Cousin's selection had other priorities at the time not relevant now IMO such as marketing etc...

This is what I would do end of year.
Get Kruzeur via FA. Don't pay too much for him but a reasonable amount. Cotch's mate if warranted can get upgraded extend contract later. If he can't get up, he can't get up we chase someone else later. That is okay we have time as still building
Get Touhy for no more than a 3rd rounder or later if part of another trade. Carlton might take TV if it suits us as gives them a target while they dip not affecting their ladder results. If TV does not improve this year move him on
Touhy can also be a benchmark for Conca's performance. If Conca does not shape up he gets moved on. Tuohy allows Vlastuin to play in the guts more
Then I would target Jimmy Bartel as a FA. I know, old as but would be like a Chapman scenario. He supporter RFC in youth like Hunt, an assistant coach might be an opportunity at the end but he gives us experience and the tall ruck rover we missed for the last 20 years temporarily. Bartel might play for a year, lucky to be 2, who knows, we argue premiership tilt and see what happens, might get rejuvenated and his role be specific in the guts etc.. until longer term replacement targeted. Geelong is finished for now so he is probably looking for a sea change/freshener anyway a little bit before retirement. If he gets in a role not requiring high end pace who knows with Jimmy. I never doubt Jimmy if in the right role and environment.
Still not sure if we should get Shiel or not, depends on draft possibilities I guess but I would not pay the world for him as still inconsistent atm. We could get substitutes like Murphy later via FA for example. If we got Shiel would not be the worst option or Hoskin Elliot
The idea getting these players is we actually have a crack at the 2016 premiership. We might not get there but at least we find out who we really got and how we need to improve. If we get the likes of Shiel and or Tuohy it strengthens us mid term anyway as well as Kruzeuer assuming he gets fit.
It gives us the chance to build further later. Eg. we might chase a David Myers in the 2016 FA period or someone better later to give us the longer term ingredients we need if we cannot find them in the draft. But it fixes up a few holes at least to make us genuinely more competitive and balanced on the footy field.
If we did this then we start to get talked about more seriously as premiership possibilities in terms of a list actually capable if stars align of threatening for the premiership. It also gets the team playing proper structured premiership football that sets off radars. This gets the attention of other quality players seeking greener pastures particularly if the youth component is there.
