well now that we missed out on our target we know what he will do now....go after a similar player who is much much worse and not getting games at his current club...i hear tony armstrong is still on collingwoods list #armstrong4tigers

Just know that he will either stay or go to a Vic club other than Geelong ;)
But WC won't be too upset to see him go given he's only played 21 games since 2012. They'd get nice compo for him ~ #25ish (something after their second). Perfect compo for a mini rebuild or trade for a homesick WA boy...

But Crows/Port will throw cash at him, especially Crows if Dangerfield leaves.

Doubt Port would have anything they would want to trade for Aish besides their first rounder so I think the Crows will be the best bet.

I think that suits GWS. Helps them keep Treloar and WHE which are harder to replace as well as Conglio.

Also lets them get picks for Hopper and others to improve their list so they are better prepared for a premiership down the track and refine their list management to suit their direction towards their objectives going forward. Helps them with flexibility down the track to chase Hannerbery or whoever as they determine.

Even GWS must acknowledge they can't keep them all at the same ages even at discounted market rates! If anything we are actually help them out and protecting them from the next Boyd type move from whoever. It shifts the expense of their talent into new gun draftees which aids them keeping a more complete effective list together for longer particularly as they get closer to their premiership window which is several years away yet.

Matthew Lloyd, who has had a lot to do with him, said on Footy Classified tonight that if he was a list manager he would not want Bennell because of his character and that he wouldn't want him in a big game.
 
Let Freo and West Coast chase him. We have bigger fish to fry and to be quite frank the last thing we need is another 'down hill skier', got enough of them as it is.
