just a quick question, is this supposed to be like a real doccumentary or something, or just actors making it out to be a real documentary for originalties sake????

it probably sounds like a dumb question but i know nothing about the movie except its supposed to be pretty scary.

great movie... loved it ~~~

got it on vcd...
wont bother with the dvd, as there wouldnt be much diff in the quality i'd say.. :P

I got sucked in by the hype when it first came out and went to see it at the Cinema.
Other people thought it was awesome, I thought it was very ordinary (I never really had a fear of sticks, slime or rocks before or after going to see it).

it's fake...they said it was a real documentary to fool people into watching this cruddy film of theirs.

the camera keeps shaking...it makes you wanna puke. the only part that really scared me was when the chick got knocked out...that's about it.

One of the worst movies ever. I left the cinema with motion sickness obviously the cheap pri cks cut corners and didn't buy a ****ing tripod. And if you get sucked into thinking 4 or 5 unemployed art students running around a forest pretending to be scared is believable then honestly you should get your head checked.

I can't believe people actually talked about this piece of garbage, let alone watched it in the theatres.

I'd been on for one hour already, I'm keeping one eye on it from the next room, and I still refuse to see the fascination with it, or anything else of the "horror" genre...

I don't know-- maybe it's just me, but this has got to be the worst ever piece of crap ever printed onto celluloid...

By the way, about whether it's "real" or not... Pamela Anderson's breasts are more real than this.

Cheers,
William

I would have to agree with you there!!

Has anyone seen the guys who made BWP? They suspiciously look like the guys who do BangBus - a couple of guys who cruise around trailer parks in a van and pay girls to have sex with them on camera. I would say BangBus is probably better cinemaphotography than BWP.

Yeah and the acting is better as well. Sorta like the milf hunter. Funny stuff.

You gotta watch horrors in the right environment. A mate of mine and I went to watch Resident Evil. The final screening of the night (started 11pm i think). Only the two of us in the dark cinema. Best movie I've watched in a LONG time, and I'm not a fan of horrors either is it just me, or does anyone else find 80's horrors funny?

Best horror movie ever is the Omen, followed by the Exorcist.

The graveyard seen with the dogs still ****s me :o

first saw it when i was 7 or 8 years old and i could hardly sleep for about a month.

I loved BWP enough to buy an ex-rental, there wasn't much point watching it on TV though, so I didn't bother. I was a bit worried the idea might be ruined by something like "What was that? What the **** was that? CALL CALL CARPET CALL THE EXPERTS IN THE TRADE".

It sure was funny to read someone earlier in this thread state that they were too cheap to get a tripod for their camera!

Anyway, if you compare BWP to anything made out of a Stephen King novel (perhaps other than Carrie), then these folks were definitely on a winner. Still, there probably aren't enough witty (sic) one-liners from blokes with knife-fingers, or chainsaw whirs, or perhaps just not enough teen sex, to attract more viewers.

My favourite scare flicks included such movies as Amityville and Salems Lot, but it'd have to be BWP now. It stuck a bit of realism in there. Well up on such mainstream gems as The Faculty ... which was scary for all the wrong reasons.

It's not a bad film .... the only thing that annoyed me was how dumb they were. I know its a scary movie so there supposed to be dumb but one guy kicks the map into the stream and then they trek south only to find themselves back at the place they started.

HOW ABOUT YOU FOLLOW THE STREAM YOU IDIOTS!!!

Apart from that, not a bad little scary movie.

The stream cut across their path, therefore neither direction along it would take them back to their car.

When things started to go awry, they decided to head in the same direction continually. This seemed like a good idea, the stream might have curled and curved all over the place, taken ages longer.

When they returned to the stream, yes, the probably should have followed it either up or downstream. But I think they were losing their faculties by then!

We knew they were stupid when they interviewed people in town, heard scary stories, and still went in! I'd be out of there.

I think it depends how you approach the movie. The less you know about it, the better - the hype killed it off, really. With a little suspension of belief, the right environment and the right mindset, I think it's a pretty effective movie. Not really scary though - if anything it is just unnerving and a bit creepy.

If you go in expecting a slasher flick, of COURSE you'll be disappointed. It's more psychological drama than horror IMHO.

I won't be re-watching it too many times, but it's pretty good for what it is.

The Blair Witch Project is overhyped rubbish IMHO. But if others like it, then fair enuff. Hope you don't think it's scary, coz it isn't. I saw the Exorcist recently on TV, and i don't think it was scary at all.

That was the whole point of the movie. It obviously went way over your head

I loved it. I never saw it in the cinemas. My ex girlfriend got her hands on a video copy about 2 weeks after it came out (her step sister orederd it from US) so we spent the night at her house with noone else home in pitch black watching this movie. I can say it scared the pants of me. Maybe the fact that it was a fairly stormy night and she had a sort of tin roof which made apiece of bark falling on it sound like a brick being chucked on the roof also helped, but its the best horror movie ive seen.

Many people dont like it because it goes against the horror movie mould. Its not a "look out theres a killer behind the door with a hood/funny mask on and a huge knife about to stab this hot chick with massive boobs in her pyjamas, and shes gonna turn around and shes gonna kick him and throw furniture at him (mind you by now any normal person would be in a coma after all the physical abuse the killer goes thru) and shes gonna run upstairs and get trapped and hes gonna stab her and the killer is always the last person youll expect" type movie and if people go in there expecting that then of course they are gonna hate it. I mean how many bloody Scream and I know what you did last summer type movies can there be before it gets predictable and boring?

If you take it for what it is, which is a horror movie which is meant to get your imagination running then youre gonna love it. It got my imagination running and i was scared ****less. It was much better having to think about what was going to happen and what happened at the end instead of walking out going "gee....the killer was her boyfriend/close friend again...who would of guessed"

They did something original and different, which cost minimal money, and theyve made millions out of it! Good on them!
