How do u reckon Blake Caracella has been in his first year since crossing from the Lions. His first half was very productive but his presence and the goals ran out in the second half, at one point he was the FF.

What do u think his future is with the pies?

He was okay , probably what we were looking for from him . Classy finisher , clever , cunning and pretty good skills. Tapered off at the finish aff the year but had been made a focal point by that stage and that isn't his forte by any means. Will do well in a better functioning forward line , which hopefully , we will have next year.

He's a cream player. Has to be in a strong team, otherwise he gets churned into butter!

Fewer injuries (and FFS we surely have to have a better run with injuries) would mean he'd be quite valuable in an FP.

Roaming Forwards: Tarrant Didak
Log Forward: Rocca
Leading Finishers: Buckley Caracella

Sekkund year players in Rusling, Travis and Eeags providing relief/pressure for spots. Rowey's not too bad up forward and Burns might retire to an FP.

At the end of the season, you got to say he was a pretty good pick up. He kicked 30 odd goals, and thats what we wanted from him, 30-40 goals, which is indeed a very good effort for a team that won 4 games.

He needed consistency, but the trend was he performed when the games were in our favour. 4 goals against Adelaide (the result didn't pan out) and then 5 goals in consecutive matches, the defeats of West Coast and Hawthorn.

Only kicked 4 goals in his last 7 matches of the season, including 4 matches being goalless (3 of which were scoreless), Which were the only times during the season he managed not to kick a goal.

Caracella will be very important to us this year. Stick him at Roccas feet and watch the goals go through. He's a specialist crumber and not a marking option. When all our forwards went down Carcella was made the crash and bash player which he cleary was no suited to. Make a contest with Rocca or Fraser and stick Caracella next to them :thumbsu:

Couldn't fault his form until he struggled with injury late in the season. I doubt he would've played the last few games if we had fit players to chose from. His accuracy in front of the sticks was something we really needed from a forward.
2006 should see him play an important roll in what is potentially one of the most menacing forward lines in the league. He won't be getting the best small defender if Didak, Buckley, Egan, Davis are all up and running. Chuck in some tall timber like Rocca, Fraser, Tarrant and Rusling to run off and we should give quite a few headaches to opposition backlines.

Unreal player. Loved him at the Dons, just loved him. Spewing when we lost him in the great fire sale. Never got a shot at Brisbane, and thought you guys were very smart picking him up.

Viva Caracella, I'd have him back in a shot

Trade you pick 7 for him then . Package deal with Coley. :D

You mean cream puff?
He can’t contest overhead with circus short people or 4 year olds but he can kick goals from 40m out. Not much further mid you. He has good skills and can be dangerous. We don't have many you can say that about and too many of those we do don't get it enough to make it matter.

I expect a lot more in 2006. He was never fit in 2005.

If u really knew about his game, he can play wing and in the midfield role as well, he wanted that at the Lions but due to the usual culprits going through there he didnt get a chance. ;)

He played wing against u guys in 2004 at that wet MCG game and did very well, he also played there for the dons.

He is pretty versatile but i dont think he can play defense. Didnt want him to leave the Lions.
