Anyone who says Blake is a dud, HAS NO IDEA. He is a very promising player who can read the play, RUN and JUMP. He has some flaws but he will make it. Should be played for the remainder of the year and given game time.

Thanks. now getting back to Mark Blake, he is usesless overhead which all big men should dominate. in the NAB cup i could count a number of times when he droped simple marks. he is almost as useless as his father was back wen he played for geelong. i say get rid of him for a priority draft pick and get a ruckman that can actually play football.

let's hope that the recruiters from other teams don't read your post then as if they find out that he is useless I doubt whether we will get a priority pick for him.

Your memory is somewhat different to mine. Rod Blake was close to favourite for the Brownlow one year.

You must be kidding. He actually kicked the ball? Can't wait to see it for myself.

In the few VFL games I've seen him play in he is a good kick for a big bloke it just takes forever for him to drop it to his boot and in the AFL he gets caught so handballs instead. Once he adjusts to the pace of AFL and gains confidence, through game time and patience, he will kick more often.

Nathan Ablett is more of a worry than Blake.

I do not think people understand that Nathan is whats called a "Development Player."

He was never meant to debut last year. Everyone knows he is not ready, and no one should be expecting him to be ready anytime this year, and maybe even half of next year.
