Did anyone see him giving Butterss a spray at half time of the Hawthorn vs. St.Kilda game? There was an article in the day today giving Butterss version of events on the Blight sacking from St.Kilda. Well, Blighty had his right of reply tonight and absolutely let loose.

FWIW, I always thought it was a joke of a decision from St.Kilda to give up on Blight so quickly. He really took exception to the comments about his commitment to the job and his ability to deal with young players. He called St.Kilda a bad football club (but I think that was his poor choice of words in saying it was an ordinary list) and when Quarters prompted him about something Butterss said he replied with "What a wank!"

Quality spray from the great man. :D

How appropriate that the "Messiah" has something big to say when the Pope is in town!

I always enjoyed listening to his press conferences.

The first was always special but for him to get our club to win back to back that will always be special time for the AFC, no matter what we ever achieve .

I will never forget his spray of Pittman or him walking off the ground in the fourth quarter at Football Park against the Tigers.

Eh! :thumbsu: That should shoot ch10 football tv ratings up :D I never really knew that Blighty actually hated St.Kilda, whatever it is, it is "Buttarses" fault, I bet, Butterss when watching the coverage must've fainted or just sat staring at the screen, surely he would've seen it coming? :D

Even the Saints supporters must've felt a bittersweet fever concerning Blightys mega spray. :D

Was great to see someone in the media actually say what they think for once. Don't see that very often in an age where every word is disected in the next mornings newspaper. Good stuff:thumbsu:

Malcolm Blight should say what he really is all about

"I am Legend"

I always felt safe when the club was in his hands, he really knew his craft well.

Thanks Blight those 97 98 years I will always treasure as a supporter, you made opposition teams and supporters always fearful of us for a while when we made it to the finals.

I love Blighty and doubt the crows would have won those flags without him. In fact I am pretty sure we wouldn;t have. He was always a front runner though (he didn't want to do the Leigh Mathews and rebuild a side, left the crows when he got what he could out of us), and thats why I found it interesting he took on the St Kilda role.

Well done for speaking your mind though Blighty. Always a legend in my eyes - as important to the club as Jarman, Mcleod and the rest of the boys were in our first premiership victories!

Everything the great man said was correct. I am surprised he kept it bottled up for 7 years. We love you, Blighty. :D

I was watching that with McAlmanac. At the end of it we wanted to pull on a guernsey and get out there and play!! Fantastic stuff! The man could still inspire players to run into brick walls!!
