Great to see the master coach down at training today, i have always had this feeling that he would one day come back and coach the Cats as he has some unfinshed business to take care of.
Would love to see him coach maybe in 2007 if Thompson doesn't get the right results, at least we would see some attacking football, i hope he does come back as i loved him as a coach, what do you guys think!

We know this because of his attidue when he was coaching at Moorabin.

???? - One of those interesting things. The guy always was a little strange and did some weird and wonderful things. He tried it at the saints and was shown the door, and gladly took his pay check and walked away. Who wouldnt? If you employed me because I was obviously very very good at something, dont do it then question my methods...i too will take the coin and walk.

I suggest the only clubs Blighty is interested in look something like this.

Not easy to coach a Victorian team from your Gold Coast loungeroom!

As good as he was , he wasnt that good.
I put it at his door for us missing finals in 90 & 93, when looking back had we got there, our oponent would have been weaker than any we played in GF's.I also querry his eye for a certain type of talent, clearing Primus would have to be a boner most wouldnt recover from yet I feel his biggest mistake in his years at Geelong were us not getting a better CHB to the club, somebody like Roos at Geelong and we wouldnt have been still chasing a relacement for the 63 flag.
I rekon Blightys got lot in common with one huckster's that sold "Dr Bobs wizbang feelgood tonic".Or as Alan Jeans used to say , 'Nice sizzle , shame about the sausage"

its a case of time makes the heart grow fonder... Blight was good, he had a team of champions but he failed to turn them into a champion team because he ignored the team's gaping holes in defence.

My understanding of MB at St.Kilda was that the writing was on the wall after rd3.
Matty Young said to me once (after he'd been delisted the year after) that MB did not so much as speak to him the whole time he was there.

Don't worry about blight when he was at the Saints, never wnated to be there but the Saints flew all there senior group up to the Gold coast and Rod Butters simply said, 2 million for 2 years, the contract was signed on the spot on a piece of tissue paper or something similar, Blighty did get a few good players there like hamil etc and no doubt they would of had a flag if he was still there

Its all about if he really has the desire thats all

I'd love to have him back.

He made footy entertaining. If we're not going to win a premiership i'd at least like to see some unpredictability, some passion and some big scores.

Blight brings those things out of players easily.
