@EntertheBubble1 on Twitter alerted me to some serious Adidas placement in Mav Weller's latest Instagram post...might just be a personal deal but there's next to nothing else like that in his feed.

It would be a personal sponsorship. A quick google tells me that he's been with Asics until now, though.

The club tweeted a photo from Koby Stevens that prominently featured Adidas. Maybe its something, but I think its just a coincidence.

Oh god no. Can't think of anything worse than the dated 3 stripes they have to put on everything and the pig headed things they do to classic designs, they can't even get sashes right.
Have they ever put the 3 stripes on a club's home and away jumper?
We do have some historic precedent with them..

Notice a chubby Shane Warne seated right.. and the Adidas jackets.
And Robert Harvey bottom left.

Want, want, want that jacket.

I'd love Adidas. They can be hit and miss but when they're on they're the best in the business. We're probably scrambling for a deal, though, so I can only see us being bent over by a huge brand like Adidas.

I wonder who the first clubs will be to announce their new apparel sponsors and when it will happen. Do we think sometime next week they will start to roll out the announcments ?

Saints with Adidas could be cool. Three colours tends to work better with their sports stuff because, as seen with the Hawks, they always want to bring one in in anyway. This with black would be pretty sweet, I grabbed this when I was in Berlin last year:

Some of the retro Man U stuff they've churned out this year is alright too. Obviously St Kilda is likely to be shafted with naff running stuff but still, I could think of worse.

Only now getting a chance to post into this thread - nothing new needs to be said really.

But I will just add that apparently Brisbane and ISC were happening?

Just a snippet from the article above.
“We have been trading normally and operations have not been affected in any way,” Mr Matau said.

He said operations in Australia have also been operating normally.

So it looks as though we will be graced with BLK's presence in season 2017! O the Joy

Hopefully their presence doesn't last long - they can't continue much longer.
Kinda sad about the Fiji place they have there - for a lot the guys working there it was their first job

We're not going to be with BLK next year.
Have you seen much else about the Puma rumor?

The word is also they will sponsor Punt Road as the Puma Centre, do they have much history with that type of sponsorship ?

So ISC then? :D

Personally I feel all the clubs will have BLK next year and then line up a replacement

i doubt we will, someone at the superstore told me they're in the process of securing a new one for 2017

Richmond might be able to leave BLK even if the deal doesn't run out until the end of 2017. Maybe there is/was some type of Claus about them going bust. Just because the WRS have saved their butts doesn't mean they didn't fail in their due dillegence. Given the stress and pressure BLK have put Clubs through they might release them from the contract early.
Seems to me as though Brisbane and GC are happy to stick with BLK. Perhaps their contracts are a bit healthier given BLK has a Gold Coast HQ.

bloke on the richmond board who said we were 90% done to puma is now saying we will again be with BLK for 2017 and then switch to puma.

The retail co ordinator down at the club told me on thursday that we are in the process of signing a new apparel spnsor for 2017 though. things may have changed since then ?

dunno who to freakin believe man
